Instead my body crashed out and I did not wake up until 11:40am. Golly. I guess my system needed it but am irked that half the day vanished.

Sometimes it's needed and also given the insomnia of late it's not all that surprising.

Spot of lunch then some lazing about the pub coming up. Could use the distraction.

I need a smartphone now. 2012 is the year when Burns embraces new tech.

Up about 3 hours after I wanted to be waiting for Botcon registration last night so got a lot less sleep than I needed and then was at work 6-11 instead of 6-9.30 as I thought. So I'm really not with it. Now I find Botcon has charged me twice.
I know whats happened because I registered twice but the first was told me I had timed out even though I pressed the submit button. I only have one confirmation but still it seems the first one made it through somewhere. Hopefully will be sorted, but it does mean I have no funds available on my card and if both are authorised I don't know quite what will happen to my botcon order.
Urghh!

I didn't wake up until 9:15 this morning, and ended up staying in my bed with a book until ten. Felt very much the better for the experience though - the two days back at work had been a bit wearing on the system. Glad I held to my tradition of trying to start the working year with a short week where possible. Pottered around the house a bit and then popped out to the cinema - bumping into a friend whom I had to apologise to because I couldn't stop or I would have had an hour to kill before the next showing (and the centre of Falkirk's appeal often palls over that length of time).
Tomorrow I think will be a day of playing with construction bricks at least in part. Now I need to work out what to watch this evening. I have The Smurfs sitting here courtesy of my rental service, but on the other hand Ghost Protocol has put me in a sort of Action Spy mood..... no reason I can't do both of course.

Still need to see The Smurfs. I have however seen the recent digital/cell mix-up Christmas Carol special which was pretty good.

I duly began with The Smurfs, and a good decision it was. I thoroughly smurfed it - an old-fashioned family movie with a distinct sense of fun. Just what I needed.
