Can't stand pubs where it's too loud to hear yourself think let alone what the other people are saying.

Yeah, it was painful. And then a band starting playing.

People want to go to pubs to talk!
I just saw a city farm (Edinburgh?/Glasgow?) on Me Too and thought of you. There were pigs.

That could be Gorgie City Farm, 10 mins walk from me which I visit frequently.

And then a band starting playing. I'm so un-hip that when I read that sentence I think of a brass band starting up in the pub, and think 'Cool'. Martin

Martin I like a pub band, but not in a pub that is far too small to have one so you can't hear a damn word anyone is saying even when they are right next to you. -Ralph

I've been thinking about this all week. Just about every second I've been awake and a bit while asleep I think.
Actionmaster Scourge may look even better than actionmaster Thundercracker.

Saw my first pair of buzzards of the year today whilst I was doing a long walk along the canal. Lovely things to see gliding about in the sky. Saw my first magpie nest in the process of construction too.
So nice to get out and about in the countryside for a bit, away from all the people and buildings, and recharge my batteries a bit.

Been quite a while since I went window shopping and I was in the mood so off I trotted, catching up on podcasts as I wondered. I intended to spend money on nowt but snacks due to ever decreasing monthly budget. Yet somehow I ended up with two Lightsabers. I need to be banned from having control of my finances.
Did some additional cleaning and moving around of piles ahead of the obligatory 3-monthly flat inspection this Thursday though the point increasingly escapes me as they always give warnings anyway no matter what I do (they don't know a model tenant when they see one, I think). I was amused to note in a recent letter that they now claim the right to take photos while popping round to do inspections while I am out. I intend to say no to this tomorrow. Surely I am entitled to some privacy?

I survived working St Patrick's day night last night! Not too busy at all really, had much worse. A few little drunk boys and girls, but nothing too messy. Folkes are so funny when they're that drunk. One little girl trying to 'help' us last night with a drunk little boy as very funny. Stopped us from getting to proper jobs though.
Slept 'till gone 1500. Had the house to myself. So I had a long over due play with my Cardboard Death Star that I retrieved from the loft a week or so back! Marvelous fun!
