So yes, I have ordered the ipad Pro, a cover and the Apple Pencil to go with it.
Cover and iPad will get here this month, pencil next month.
I have missed drawing in Procreate.

I really wish Apple would not start the names of their products with a lower case letter. Gives me a twitch every time.

Oh it is a joy to read comics on, going to test drive a DWM later.
Aside from small press and special things, I can see me binning print comics for the most part.

Funnily enough I have gone the other way. I stopped buying digital comics earlier this year due to cost-cutting and now read more print comics via UK newsstand or the library.

It works out to 6-7 quid a month but I've already read through hundrds of pounds worth of comics.

I'm already at the tipping point of what I can afford to spend on comics per month. The fun of pay cuts each year. Still, between UK newsstand editions and the excellent local library service I get through more than enough to keep me happy anyway. If I was to make regular digital purchases I would have to drop 2000ad or some of the Panini CE's.

I cannot turn off auto-renew for a magazine subscription! It can't be done in Apple Newsstand even though it says you can. I go through settings and there is a slider bar beside the subscription (which the Apple guide online says I need to press on to manage a subscription) but nothing happens when I touch it. I can't see any contact button for whichever bit if Apple I need to write to to cancel. Can anyone help? Getting really wound up about it,

Is there a webpage portal you can go via rather than the software portal?

That is my problem. I can see by going through forums that other folk have had the same problem. I just need to know how/where to contact the relevant Apple department to cancel the sub. Folk have had success doing that but I can't find a post that tells me how!
It really fucking pisses me off that something so simple should be so difficult. It's almost like Apple doesn't want you to stop giving them money easily.

Just had to blow the iPad away. We suspect that when Jonathan logged onto some free wifi last week it acquired SOMETHING that copied my email password.
I was getting odd mail delivery errors last week that I didn't send so changed it.
Then I started getting requests from BT to change my email due to bad login attempts, quite likely because the harvested email password was being used to attempt to send more mail.
Then over lunch my email changed itself!

Hmmm.
Am I remembering right that could get up to IOS 7.0 on an iPad 1?
It's only showing as 5.1.1 post reset: how do I persuade it to update?

Hmmm. Am I remembering right that could get up to IOS 7.0 on an iPad 1? No, just the 5.1.1 that I've got. So there must be an older version of the comixology app that runs on 5.1.1, why isn't the app store offering it to me to download as a Best Previously Available version?

if they've stopped supporting it(which is possible) they may not offer it as a download. it might be too unstable to run as a new install and so not available from app store. you could still download it to a pc and then transfer it to your ipad via cabling tho I believe
