Not to be confused with Transformers Legends, the Japanese toyline or Legends, the older smaller sized Transformers!
Intriguing picture from a Toy Hobby retailer magazine: www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=15218A new G1 Prime with a targetmaster-ish Roller? Not terribly excited about another Op, but the possibilities for a potential new Classics-style line (with gimmickry?) intrigue me.

Based on the current IDW design. Not sure that's Roller, though, the blue bit on top seems to indicate the cab of a teeny truck.

I don't understand why the internet says that it is IDW Optimus as he has had multiple designs in those comics!

Which is why I added 'current'. Takes it's cues from the design Don Fig came up with post AHM.

It's Ongoing Optimus. (I hope that's the name on the box) MIke Costa and Don Figs present to the comics...

Which is why I added 'current'. Takes it's cues from the design Don Fig came up with post AHM. Is that the design still being used? Have to admit I got completely fed up with characters changing their bloody bodies from issue to issue for no reson. Sometimes in the middle of stories! -Ralph

Well, technically, Hasbro discontinued the name "Legend" when they changed it to Legion. Maybe they're creating some sub-scout, Cybverse Commander equivalent? I assumed they were legion, like you. Just returning the name Legends (Kinda like Legends of Cybertron)
Looking at the pictures again, they do look to be about the same as Cyb Commanders.

For those that haven't seen them: www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS22611&mode=retailPrime with Roller Bumblebee with Blazemaster Smaller figures transform into guns for the Larger figure. I'm guessing we're talking PCC Commander Size here. Prime with Roller ? Very sensible. BB with Blazemaster ? Eh ? ? ? Then it struck me: It's a double homage. Blazemaster was originally a Micromaster Helicopter. Mainly yellowy gold vehicle mode, but lots of blue on the robot mode. But the same year 1990 Action Master Bumblebee came with with a blue helicopter backpack that transformed into a gun. Put them together and tada! Now there's meant to be a Starscream and Megatron coming in this size.... I wonder what transforming weapons they'll get?

Megatron with a target master makes sense if the target master looks like G1 megs gun mode. Browning/Megaplex/whatever the other diaclone gun was. Or leader 1.
Starscream... maybe his armada minicon?

Bumblebee and blazemaster is a triple homage. There's also Hotshot, who played the Bumblebee "kid character" role for so long, in Bumblebee's stead. With so much of modern 'beel doubling back now on Hotshot. Hotshot's minicon, Jolt, was also a helicopter.

Hmm. Springer looked a lot taller in solo pictures. I suppose he's just skinny.

*EXPLODES* Only the GREATEST HERO on all Cybertron! He was Bluestreak's buddy at the start of '...And There Shall Come A Leader!' and got exploded, which was very upsetting to read as a child!

That's a blast from the past. The name always made me think of Megatron's fusion cannon. I never saw the character in comic form, but remember reading about him in a summary/text story somewhere.
Jam Copter repaint likely. These guys look great. Want more Legends like those.

Weird, looks like prime can't hold his targetmaster with the full "chest open" robot mode transformation.
