Has to be grimlock for me. With toys of this size I think the alt mode has to be something to justify it. Primes frankly a bit dull as a truck it does very little more than any smaller version while not really looking that great.
Starscream seems to have a few more features as a jet and is smaller so seems worth it and Megatron despite some problems is a lot of fun as a gun. It has play value.
MP Grimlock would have all kinds of articulation and easily be the best alt mode MP release.
There is something to be said for Ironhide or Ratchet with a really good cartoon likeness.

I put Ironhide as it would mean a Ratchet very soon afterwards.

I voted for Shockwave - as he is one of my favourite Decepticon characters and it would be nice to have a big chunky modern version.
I considered Jetfire but given that they would have to design a new alt-mode for him, and that there are already very nice large scale Valkyries in existence it seems like a waste of Tomy's time and effort really.
So Spockwave was the logical choice.

Sausage Masters Jetfire cured my urge for a modern update of Jetfire. Ticks all the boxes for me.

Sausage Masters Jetfire cured my urge for a modern update of Jetfire. Ticks all the boxes for me. -Ralph It pretty much does the same for me as well. The only thing that I'm not too keen on is the aircraft nose-section - a bit too slab-like for my tastes. Other than that it pretty much hits all the marks - and the missile-launchers even fold out into single-barrelled Strike cannon analogues as an added bonus. Karl

Ooh ooh ooh Grimlock. I don't think Shockwave has enough detail for a masterpiece version and we've just had Megatron who is also a gun - really don't want a repeat of that transformation.
I think a giant robotic T-Rex would be great though.

Interesting results! Grimlock would be immensely cool, no doubt about that. I just think Shockwave's such a different, intesting character, a unique design, his robot mode in partic would look awesome. Also want a Soundwave, he'd be second on my wish list, 'cos he's such a vital character.
And, if I hadn't made it clear above... NOOOO TO WHEELIE!!!!

I'm torn between picking Shockwave and Jetfire, so I'm gonna vote for the one that's gotten the least votes out of the two so far.

Despite loving the look of the Masterpiece editions, I have never been able to afford them. A Masterpiece Grimlock, however would definately get me saving.

I'm pretty sure Masterpiece Optimus Prime is pretty cheap now (I can't remember if it was TRU catalogue or not) but he was down to £29.99.
I did own him but got shot of him in the end it was well engineered but just didn't do anything for me.

I thought MP Prime was a nice display piece but not a fun toy. It wasn't cheap to buy so couldn't justify keeping it when I was never going to fiddle about with it other than making it dance at New Year. So I flogged it and had a weekend away with the proceeds! Hurrah!

I love my MP Op, but I admit, not the easiest toy to play with. Looks great leading my Alternators though.
Any characters I've missed off the poll that folks can think of, that may deserve MP status (I kinda included Ratchet in with Ironhide, 'cos they're bound to do both if they did one).
And don't say Wheelie, Doc'!

I thought MP Prime was a nice display piece but not a fun toy. -Ralph I had fun with him as a toy, but yeah he's a display piece at heart. At least I wanted to transform him every once in a while when I had him out. Megatron however ... I don't even want to repose him lest he fall over, and I still have nightmares about his transformation.

I believe that may be from "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan". It follows:-
"I've done worse than kill you. I have hurt you, and I wish to go on. hurting you."

Correct to the above! (My head's re-formed). From the bit where Khan thinks he's trapped Kirk in the middle of a barren planetoid. Burried alive! As Doc' says, great bit at the end of the scene when Kirky-boy does this mad face and screams into his communicator "KHAAAN!". His facial expression is mint. Top film.
