I'll settle for the seasonal lurgy passing, fingers crossed it's on the way out and I can resume normal life on Wednesday.

Are any of the Scots contingent available around the end of the week? Ideally Thursday or Friday, as I'm hoping to pop through to Edinburgh on Saturday if Mr Burns' schedule permits.
My folks are planning to have the loft insulated, y'see, but first we have to clear out Box Mountain along with the electronic shrapnel of 17 years of PC ownership. I have long since lost track of what's up there. The usual Davidson household hospitality will be laid on, of course.

Actually, change of plan. My dad reckons it will take several trips to the recycling centre/dump/Cash In The Attic to clear the loft and has vetoed any attempt to do it in one shot.
Hey ho.

Sorry to hear that the pain is causing you issues Phil. Hope that it eases swiftl. And that you get rid of the cold forthwith Andy!
My sympathies too on the attic clearing Nick - having lost my own attic space to reinsulation a while back I can sympathise.
Found myself unexpectedly doing meeting minutes this morning, having volunteered when the previous taker was unable to attend the meeting. It is amazing how swiftly this sort of thing comes back to you though - it soon felt as if I'd never been away from doing it.

Saw 2:30 this morning through pain. That wanged chung. Still a bit windy out there though loads down on the overnight full TW who shot the time traveling Decepticon stuff we did have.
Morning spent filling in ATOS form. We had a points guide to what they were looking for and I reckon we're at about twice the necessary level. That means my ESA should be safe.

Had to pop out to gran's to help take stuff to the recycling centre and put in her new cooker and take the old one out.
Knackered now as I am still not back to normal so a lazy weekend is on the cards.

I've spent today doing various necessary errands - now that I have a new freezer it was time to fill it up with foodstuffs, which involved a trip to the nearest Tesco. Shame that every time I have stepped out of the door today it has either been freezing cold and snowing or throwing hyper-velocity hail at me... Decided after the second errand out to give up and stay in. So I spent the time going through my paper work for the rest of the supporting evidence for a Council Tax Rebate claim. (Which I may or may not get. Trust me to have a complicated enough situation that they can't tell at the enquiry counter either whether I am entitled. I am exactly the sort of case that used to confuse me when I did those forms).
Watching the last surviving "Out of the Unknown" episode now, whilst I wait for my dinner to be ready.

Heading back to Brum in an hour. As ever I am sad beyond the adequacy of text to articulate to leave my family and friends behind for another several-month period. Haven't cried yet but wouldn't rule it out.
Blah. I'll be fine once I get back to the flat, stick dinner in the microwave, unpack my monitor and fire up Big Chap. Back to work tomorrow. Plenty to do and no doubt more surprises to come. Yay.

Oh no, Phil. :-(
Nick, while your distance from some friends and family increases, your distance to others decreases. As long as you stay on the island of Britain, you remain in the home zone.

Phil, sorry to hear about thy head-bump. They are not nice at all, hope you are feeling better.
Nick, as both Martin and Phil have said - further from some friends but nearer to others. And remember, we are only an electronic method of communication away should you need us.
