Hi guys, has anyone sold a G1 Megatron on ebay recently? I listed one a while back and it got removed and was threatened with having my account suspended. With the restrictions on selling on ebay has the price of these increased? On one hand the it's harder for people to buy then, but also on the other it's harder to sell them. I'm asking because I've got a few to sell which I no longer need. I guess forums are the way to go.

It's classed as a replica firearm so any listing they find will get delisted. Happened quite a few years ago now.
It's why Masterpiece Megatron gets sold with the daft orange blocker on it, and the wee Legends Megatron had an orange tip to his gun barrel.

So does an orange tip means it's ok? I ask because it was a destron monarch megatron copy which has the orange tip which got removed from ebay.

Best bet would be to contact ebay and confirm with them. If the orange top that can be removed they might not be happy letting it go up. Andy

Megatron's brilliant, and I find tongue-in-cheek, as though he's mocking his enemies, motot is "Peace through tyranny".

I don't think it's tongue in cheek, I think Megatron subscribes to Plato's 'philospher king' ideal, that the most desirable form of government is via a dictatorship, but that dictator must literally be the greatest man ever to live rather than a self-serving egotist (and clearly Megatron sees himself as a philosopher king rather than a space Hitler).

and why has nobody made a fuss about TFU or his box being wrong? Um, because there's no reason to believe either is wrong. Inferno's TFU entry establishes the precedent, if one were needed, that it is not impossible to coin more than one motto. (Inferno's spare motto was incidentally later nicked by Hotspot.) www.ntfa.net/universe/english/index.php?act=view&char=InfernoWhich is more difficult to accept, connecting your innards to an anti-matter black hole in space, or having two mottoes? This is the first time I have voted 'Sausages' in a poll, as I don't accept either of the other listed options. Martin

My suspicion is that in some places TFU was working from early material.
Where's the other Inferno motto found? The TFU one matches his toy.

Inferno's second motto is on the first line of his TFU profile paragraph.

Also, perhaps Megatron's favourite motto was different at different stages of his megalomaniacal career. You don't have to keep the same motto all your life.

Memory's vague, but I think Scorponok and Grimlock's mottos are connected somehow. One got nicked by the other at some point, or something?
My biggest criticism of TF Wiki is that it's a really poor resource for this stuff.

It means something that's expendable. To say "Everyone is Fodder," is literally saying "Everyone is Expendable."

Cool. I've always heard it in relation to like, cannon fodder, but it's clumsy as a word on it's own. Sits wrong in the mouth, y'know?

I am disappointed that no-one remembers this classic line of dialog:
"Ah, chicaboog noon-eeg Solo. Tah keeng sa leeng ah pak mugglah, peeska chatah: may now kung bantha poodoo!"
Explains everything.
But back to Megatron... Yeah, he could've changed his mind. In the same way he chose to utilise that supermassive black hole within his body. (So, mostly when he was jamming with Muse.)

To be fair, I think his early characterisation suits the initial Everything is Fodder choice more, but as the character has evolved and certainly in his IDW incarnation, Peace Through Tyranny fits the character more.
All of this is a long winded way of saying...SAUSAGES.

Peace while I rule with an iron fist compared to everything is mine. There wouldn't be that much peace on the first. Reminds me of Dr Doom.
