If three g1 toys as small as and LESS complex as a modern legends are $80, I am absolutely terrified at what they'll price Trypticon at. Seriously... There's no way a brand new titan class trypticon wouldn't be considerably cheaper.

I'm probably still going to buy it.. It's an odd list that. Insecticons are out, and Cone Heads are advertised. But Perceptor and Blaster were both done as US reissues relatively recently, Perceptor, with the Insecticons, during Universe and Blaster as a SDCC exclusive at around the same time. Trypticon is almost odd bot out. Never been reissued before. Last seen in BWII in 1998.

Trypticon can walk can't he? A purchase that will keep the kids busy! Tell Mrs Shockers that. If Trypticon comes out I could go for one depending on the price. There is a certain naffness and illogic to him that appeals.

All over Trypticon assuming it comes with all accessories and features! Metroplex needs his counterpart.

Trypticon would be a purchase for me. Blaster and Perceptor are odd choices, given a high quality original would probably cost less than the reissue. You can get a good condition G1 Blaster for $60 and Perceptor is less than that, so why reissue those? it's a really random list. Trypticon makes perfect sense to reissue as he's hard to come by complete. Trypticon is the odd one out. All the others have been used recently, so Hasbro KNOWS the molds are all still viable. And that's what it boils down to in deciding reissues. The viability of the mold. Only special cases like the seeker, optimus, and soundwave are worth restoring/replacing the molds after they fall apart. To be honest, I'd have been far less surprised if they had listed Skylynx or Omega Supreme, instead of Tryp. They've been used recently, too. Though, mayhap those two got totaled when Takara used them?

I assume the Trypticon mold is still in use as it was used for Gigastorm
*slaps face* THAT WAS NOT RECENT. OH GOD.

The orange-tastic triple changers came out of nowhere with very little fanfare. Likewise the latest Insecticon reissue. Trypticon was on the list along with them, Perceptor and Blaster at the start of the year. I too will believe it when I see it, but I wasn't excpecting to see a Devastator the size of a toddler a couple of months ago either. These are strange days.

Seems fine to me, nothing noticeably wrong. Just can't get any enthusiasm up for them now I have them apart from an urge to put Ramjet's wings on Thrust's body.
