I predict that whatever happens people on the internet will complain. On a more serious note I hope all the third party companies are sued to oblivion. I'd like all that shit to vanish. -Ralph

Well. Well well, let's see.
HOPES:
Masterpiece:
SHOCKWAVE!!! And, I can't believe I'm saying this, he looks better than Quakewave....
(still no Megatron.... What a joke that is. Not that I need one *kisses Appolyon*)
Hope they keep the MP Autobot cars coming. Still waiting for Jazz. Hope they completely redesign Ironhide/Ratchet from scratch...!
I want the 3P Fanstoys MP Sludge. 'Cos it's the only way we'll be getting a MP Sludge (then again, I thought that about Coneheads...).
Hope they continue the MP Coneheads and don't make us wait years for all three.
Generations: Hope for a couple more Combiner Wars Autobots. Jazz and Ratchet. Brawn? Inferno? Come on Hasbro, one more wave. Just one more. I've given up on a Megatron core and Decepticons Jet-limbs...
Hope, STILL, for Legends BEACHCOMBER, SEASPRAY, and K I C K B A C K. FFS!!!
Hope Titan Wars gives us great figures like CW pretty much has. I prob' wont get too many, but I hope they keep the good ideas coming.
PREDICTIONS: errrr.....
RESOLUTIONS: None really. Spending is under control. Collection reduced, but needs to be reduced further. Really having a big think about what I actually want TF toy-wise. I resolve to decide!
Ohh, and I also hope Micheal Bay stops making Transformers movies. I want a TF movie reboot. Total Reboot.

Man...
Predictions:
Takara will release Computron. One of the limbs will be a new figure. Hasbro will not release the limbs. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Optimus Primal, Ironhide, Hot Rod, Shockwave and Ramjet are already on the MP-list for 2016. I predict Ratchet and Dirge will follow with Thrust in 2017. We'll see one or two new moulds. Takara loves Skids, so I expect Skids. Possibly Jazz with altered livery like Smokescreen, or some absolute curveball like Blurr or Lioconvoy or something. I would like to see an MP Lioconvoy since many of the original Lioconvoys have probably succumbed to GPS of the hips by now.
Titans Return will do moderate business but will fail to shine without media support. I don't expect many waves or much focus since Star Wars will be dominating Hasbro's sales and marketing for pretty much the whole year. Force Awakens will be bigger than Revenge of the Sith, and the low price of oil will make large vehicles more viable again. To avoid wandering off topic, I expect Star Wars to snatch a bay or so from Transformers' real estate in a lot of toy shops.
The third party will continue doing its thing. Hasbro/Takara will release at least one new figure, MP or main-line, specifically to scupper the plans of multiple companies who are releasing iterations of the same character, just to remind them who's boss. One or two companies will go to the wall or get bought out as their ambition outstrips their customer base.
Hopes:
That Hasbro releases the new MP Skywarp, and MP Starscream makes it to Toys'r'us so I won't have to import one.
MP Hot Rod sells well enough that Takara elects to do more movie-era characters, like Kup, Blurr, Arcee, and maybe even a Decepticon!
That the Computron limbs sneak out into the Titans Return deluxe assortment.
That we get a Titans Return Chromedome that looks enough like his MTMTE incarnation.
The Dream:
Titans Return Sentinel Prime gets repainted as Sonic Bomber as well as Astrotrain (as a Takara Legend if not by Hasbro) and a leader-class Dai Atlas (and voyager Roadfire) come out somewhere. They can combine.
Resolutions:
Dunno.

Predictions
I can see the heads, sold with their little beasts and vehicle, making a return later in the line with their proper bodies while earlier heads get their own little vehicles.
Legends will be mainly "tapes" this year, supported be repaints/remoulds. I'll say that this year Brawn from Gears will finally surface.
Sentinel Prime racks up the repaints. We've seen some really good suggestions already including Astrotain, Scourge. Nick's Sonic Bomber is interesting.
I can't see what Galvatron will get repainted as.
I can't see where the Leader assortment is going beyond Blaster, Soundwave and Op. I think these may end up being solid cased so Blaster will be TR wave 1, Op Wave 2 and Soundwave wave 3. If Op and Blaster are packed together I predict them being hard to find and more wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Voyager or Leader Rodimus Prime.
I expect to see a few non Headmasters getting Headmastered to much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
As ever something vital won't get UK released. Probably Soundwave.
More MASSIVE retools, as we've seen with the CW limbs. I've already heard Brainstorm from Blurr and that sounds inspired.
I predict heads changing and moving between repaints.
I'm not sure I see a G2 Defensor set coming. Hotspot's been used as the core of Victorion. If there isn't I predict wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Wouldn't be surprised to see an Autobot Limbs III and Autobot Limbs IV boxset. I have money Hasbro.
Much moaning about no beast CW limbs and thus no Predacons, Terrorcopns or Seacons.
RID Ruination shows up as a CW repaint. Absolute No Brainer repaint.
SDCC: the rumour says Brainstorm, Sentinel Prime and Arcee boxset.
I'd like to see Gold Armour Grimlock show up as a RiD Legion but I'm not hopeful for Legions or RiD.

I agree with Nick that SW will take up a lot of Hasbro's resources and retail space. Force Awakens is currently on track to fall within the top 5 highest grossing films on record and the toys are flying off the shelves so I can see that movie's line having legs until at least third quarter 2016 just in time for whatever lines tie into the next SW film (Rogue One) which is due in December. And that's before we even factor in how big SW Lego is!
As such I expect Transformers to have a decent but modest year as RID winds down and it's not a movie year. TR will be a mid-league line just like CW was (and still is). I don't expect to be able to buy much of TR given how CW has been handled in the UK, where I expect TF's dustribution and shelf space to shrink a bit more due to the aforementioned SW effect. RID will of course be everywhere.
I also predict that The Fandom will continue to deny the existence of Rescue Bots, even though the cartoon is now the longest running TF cartoon in any country both in duration and episode count!

I predict that the last RID season will basically be a stealth release in a graveyard slot and most people won't even notice til it's done. I predict that Hasbro will announce something even worse as the replacement.

I also predict that The Fandom will continue to deny the existence of Rescue Bots, even though the cartoon is now the longest running TF cartoon in any country both in duration and episode count! RESCUE BOTS! I predict that Hasbro will announce a lot of stuff that will get fans super excited for the Titans Return line, then get distracted with Star Wars, before finally forgetting about it all and putting out a load of crap one-step changers and questionable/obscure repaints to support Transformers 5 in 2017. I also predict that the GDO Transformers will finally hit Home Bargains/B&M. I mean, seriously - where the fuck are my GDOFormers?!? I also predict that I will become less cynical in the face of market/profit drive endeavours. One or more of the above will turn out to be a lie. Apart from Rescue Bots. Rescue Bots are THE TRUTH.

Anyone got any older toys they'd like to get hold of this year?
I wouldn't say no to another original Dinobot. Or a Monsterbot, especially Doublecross.
But Headmasters that usually top my list are off the menu due to Titanwars.

Older toys: Any Beast Era I don't have. RiD Megatron RiD Predacon Trio And Beast Era or RiD era Universe 1.0 repaints I don't have. Telemocha Tigatron Telemocha Volfang Any Robot Masters I don't have, which is most of them. Only have the seeker trio, psycho orb, and bound rogue. MW Thundercracker Botcon '15 G2 General Prime and Sgt Hound A fair few RotF/NEST/HftD scouts.
And I wouldn't snub my nose at MW Prowl, Hubcap, Hoist, Skywarp, and Megaplex.

I always have a list of G1 figures I want the originals of. I'm aiming eventually for a full set of 84-87 toys, but my area of focus tends to shift through the year depending on what takes my fancy. Recently my focus has been specifically on the 86 movie wave, but I'm only missing Blurr. I am also taken with the idea of getting all the bigger 85/86 toys, which was spurred on by the Trypticon reissue last year as that allowed me to get a very expensive toy for much less than I was expecting.
So I'd say if I was making a G1 shortlist for 2016 it would be Blurr first, then in no order Blaster & cassettes, Perceptor, Metroplex, I need a Broadside to complete the Autobot triple changers and the holy grail is always an as close to mint as possible Shockwave. I'd also like to get Sludge & Snarl to finish my Dinobots so I can display them with the Fans Toys ones.

Phil, I'll keep you in mind when searching for Monsterbots on eBay US. We usually get plenty and they sold really well at AA 2015.
I'd like to get the Hasbro iteration of MP Thundercracker, after missing out on one back in 2011. They're not a bad price since the new Takara one came out. Going further back, I'd quite like to get the big black steam train bloke from Goldran. I managed to acquire most of the line in Korean packaging a few years back and he's the only one I'm missing because he wasn't released in Korea for whatever reason. The Japanese one crops up on Yahoo auctions fairly regularly.
There's loooads of classic stuff I want to get for Toy-fu this year that will take time to track down. Did you know we've never had a Darkwing or Dreadwind for sale? I've never been able to find them at sensible prices anywhere. Those guys are high on the list, as well as the usual Swoops, Gnaws, Deluxe Insecticons, Omnibots, Monsterbots, x-masters and American Decepticon Pretenders (nobody cares about the Autobot ones).
I'd really like this to be the year I find a Roadfire for Nick Roche. By TFN it's going to be six years since I offered to hunt one down for him. He and his good lady have created two actual humans since then, and I haven't managed to find a plastic tank.

There aren't even that many pictures of one online. Does Nick even know what a Roadfire looks like? Can we build a Roadfire out of a tissue box, toilet tube and red paint and say "here is a roadfire sir, honest" EDIT: I... assume this was a KO?? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Transformers-G1-Zone-Roadfire-Generation-1-Rare-/331714712370

My resolution this year is to spend less on third party. I've already managed to resist the TFC Lio Kaiser, and FP Dinoking. Which is sad, because they look amazing. If they come up for sale on the cheap then I won't be able to say no, but cannot go spending another £400+ on a combiner each. I will be finishing off MT's Defensor, and then I have the full set of western releases one way or another.

Resolutions:
Get my various collections slimmed down and "locked" at a suitable size for moving. There are a lot of things I have that I probably am not attached enough to for it to be worth the effort of packing them up and moving them to wherever I end up headed once I graduate - especially if I end up heading southwards as that could well mean smaller quarters given the economic differences between Falkirk and some southern climes.
Get the spare CW Jetfire I have just acquired cheap painted and rearmed as a new character.
Hopes
That I manage to be in a position to get Masterpiece Shockwave - one of the few 1984/1985 characters I have yet to own a decent version of and so far the only thing announced for next year which is a "need to find a way" rather than an "it'll be nice if I can".
That either the various webstores who are both enabling the illegal activity of companies like Fansproject etc and also pocketing ill-gotten gains chose to do the ethical thing and stop trading illegal items or that Hasbro find some leverage to use to persuade them to honour the law. (difficult as it needs to be done as a civil suit, but we are talking hopes here).
Corollary - I hope that some of the folk on the design end of these things manage to get themselves legal jobs where they can use these skills, because there is some very good talent out there that it would be nice to see given the chance to work legally.
