Interesting start to the rhyming week, I think the first post needs a slight tweak. I need something more than just a 'good morning', If only to stop the incessant yawning.

Phil just needs a gentle prod. Our wise and generous forum mod Really loves to rhyme his words Especially when picking up [insert word of choice rhyming with words]
Of Rhyming Week do not be scared, Your equilibrium's not impaired. It adds to a dark month a little fun. Here Ian Holm shows how it's done:
That's my favourite poem of all. But the week is young... er... unlike Timothy Spall.

Oh F*** I forgot about this annual torture. Looks like today'll be another scorcher. You're doing fine. One more time. How sublime. You're a poet and you didn't know it. Martin

I can tell i'm going to dislike rhyming week, For this week, my life looks bleak, Never mind, for my new coat looks sheek, This hurts my brain, I must be weak

I will not pine Today begins a time. A time when I must rhyme.
Should I miss this time t'would surely be a crime.

Phil breaks the week's one rule Is he taking the place of the fool? Away with him to Planet Zero For he is not rhyming week's hero!

Planet Zero full of darkness is where Phil shall go, Which is still better than in a garden with a hoe!

Bigger things on my mind Than the fact I must find Ways to rhyme slowly As I mourn David Bowie. This week will be tough But the rhyming is fluff compared to personal issues that form grey clouds like used tissues.

An Insecticon, name of Barrage, Smashed a house with a four-car garage. When people asked why, He said it's owned by A fellow named Nigel Farrage.

Today, and this week, has gone seriously Tango Ultra.
As you all know Liz and I are due to meet my birth mother in Oxford on Wednesday lunchtime. This morning Liz did her back in getting dressed and is currently unable to drive. She's seen a physio today who knows what's wrong and has manipulated it for her but the chances of her being able to drive Swindon to Oxford and back are slim.
So A) please pray that her back gets better!
So it looks like I'm going to go by myself, which is a bit scary! We've made arrangements to get me there and hopefully they should be able to get me back to the station and from there it's one change to Swindon.
So B) pray for me that I cope OK with doing this on my own.
Ta!

A) please pray that her back gets better! B) pray for me that I cope OK with doing this on my own. I will be sure to do so. On your big day just go with the flow! I know that's easy to say, But I think it's the only way. In other news: A silly old duffer named Clarkson Found his favourite car had strange marks on. Said a neighbour called Petey, "That's Decepticon graffiti!" Now he takes more care whose road he parks on. Martin

Tonight I wished I could have a dram As I stressed 'bout an exam.
One more day there is for revision, then the paper will swell in my vision.
Will I falll or will I rise Is something only time'll apprise!

This time, Martin He may have been responsible originally too I believe it may have been Martin who was the one who broached the subject first, as daft ideas go, it's far from the worst. It's a challenge to overcome, and takes a bit of work I fear, Worry not it only comes across once a year. Andy

Should we end this week with a rap battle? it could be named after a transformer, maybe Grapple?
We could have a prize and all that shiz it would really tell us who's the biz!

It was my alter e., Flatulence McGee, The hyperbolic flea, That very same he Who went to take a pee, Without rhyme or rea., In the River Dee That flows into the sea. To be or not to be! That there is the key. Anyone for tea? Martin PS Thought for the day: Like it's more mature for grown men to talk about toys and comics and stuff in prose than in rhyme.
