I wonder how many Prime toy we'll get? We know the basic number of characters for the film & this does look an improvement on the TF4 toy. I think we'll get at least 3 toy sizes (that also includes the RC toys we've had for RID & expect to see turn up in TF5 line.)

Doesn't look a lot different to the last one. Less of a change from the DoTM design anyway.
This is my first opportunity then to say that I will not under any circumstances be buying these toys. Just like I did for AoE. Film toys and film designs are the spawn of Satan and I do not at all have an 80 litre tub full of unopened AoE Generations toys, plus the sdcc ark. Nope. Not me. Not at all. Film toys? Me? On your bike.

Yeah. Not convinced it'd replace Armour Knight thus far. I mean, most of the engineering improvements seem to be good. I just need an awesome paint job for the figure.

I believe that the new one is on the left. But I could be wrong - I don't follow the live-action movie stuff very much as I don't tend to end up buying much in the way of actual movie characters these days.

I think it is, the sword looks like the one that was in the leaked pictures and the shoulder kibble on the right one looks awfully like the one from AoE.

That premium set of Autobots looked good to me. I almost resisted the dinobots for the same reason, the premium set came along to late and I'd lost my interest (plus price). Apart from the BW repaints I only picked up the Evolution prime set, that movie prime is really good. Evolution Grimlock because I had always wanted Energon Grimlock, still not opened them. AOE Silver Knight Prime because it was really really cheap on Amazon, as Ive said before its a much better toy than it gets credit for. Oh and I got Evolution Strafe purely for the Technobot artwork on the side also unopened. Then Evolution Slag because I had the other 2 evolution dinobots, also still unopened. I'm hoping for a good Hound from the new movie. If the new Prime is an improved version of the Silver Knight Prime mould in voyager scale then it has potential. |

News sites are saying that translates as First Edition (Premier) Optimus. Oddly with the big shell on the back he looks a bit like the last First Edition one. Although that was a leader rather than a voyager.
Going to try really hard this time just to ignore this line. I said that last time, but then they threw dinosaurs at me. This time. Nope, nadda. Generations and Masterpiece is taking all the cash.

That doesnt look bad (assuming you don't hate movie designs to start with) Looks to have decent articulation a pretty solid build and a decent amount of colour on it.
