I don't want to be, I want to be kind. I love He Man and it's clear the people who made it love it and have put a looooooot of effort into it. Buy it surely can't be that hard to find amateurs that can deliver lines even have way decently.

Apologies for lack of rhyme For poetic critique, I haven't the time!
Basically the problem with this is one that plagues most fan films, and it's that people think writing is easy and that anyone can do it, and so they go ahead and spend a lot of time and effort and money making something that is, at its basic level, utter rubbish. This fan film seems to be made by someone who doesn't actually like He-Man but is a fan of Conan and thinks He-Man would be better if it was full of more blood and gore as that somehow fits the ethos of the original.
So there's a scene where Evil-Lyn dies by having her face melted and turning into a pile of bloody bones, and at the end He-Man straight-up murders a helpless Skeletor. Then they just take entire scenes from popular Filmation episodes in a way that goes beyond cute homage to 'outright stealing because they couldn't think of anything better'.
On the upside, it has Castle Grayskull Man.

It's like a porn parody with the sex excised. I'm not sure, but I shouldn't be surprised.

That is some weird stuff. I understand reaction figures if they're homaging an original 80s concept, but making toys that look worse than the original 80s ones did? What? Those are awful.

Yes but some were based on original unused 80s designs weren't they? I'm sure the Aliens ones were from an aborted toy line. So it makes sense that they look the way they do. But making faux 80s style figures of a line that had better figures in the 80s seems ridiculous. What point are they trying to make? This is what MOTU would have looked like if Palitoy did it?

Ive no idea mate. I've seen Aliens, Predator, Friday the 13th, BTTF, The Goonies and a few other ranges from Reaction and they all look the same. Like they're deliberately terrible. Maybe that's the joke, 80s toys were mostly crap so here's some at double the price to remind you just how bad they were.

There's some retro kitsch value in them. They're definitely not what I'm looking for in either a toy, action figure or collectible.

Yes, the Alien ones were based on an aborted toyline so made sense. Otherwise, the Reaction line is just a series of deliberately shoddy looking toys. They look awful in the plastic. Not even fun tat. Many 80's figures had better sculpting and sometimes more articulation. -Ralph

No one has yet successfully managed to explain the phenomenon that is Pop Vinyls to me. I was genuinely shocked last time I went in a Forbidden Planet and found half of the first floor given over to them.

Pop Vinyls and Funkopop were fun little cheap novelty items once in a while, I have Lion-O and a couple of others that came in Zbox releases. The problem is there's hundreds of them now, they're all starting to look a bit generic and they're creeping up in price.
