Thanks for reminding me of that horrific image, Pinwig. Merry Christmas! ;-)
But, hmm, yes, it's going to have to be Highbrow for me. Although the others have gone on to have more interesting characterisations in more recent media, the look of Highbrow always did it for me - I usually prefer the airborne vehicle modes anyway, and as Phil says, the twin rotors make him look more interesting. As far as looking at the toy catalogues go, he was always the one I wanted. And never got. Which made his appearance in Titans Return all the sweeter...

I might do at some point. Highbrow was the only one of the Four Horsemen I had as a kid, but he always put up a stiff fight against Scorponok. I would like to have one again. But then I'd like to have a Scorponok again and that ain't happening any time soon. I think those two and Astrotrain are now the only ones left of the few I used to have but sold at some indeterminate time in the 90s.
*checks ancient list*
Nope, my list of 1997 reminds me I also had Weirdwolf but now don't. Any others have been rebought in the last few years.

Eeerrrrrmmm.....
Based on profile alone, 'cos all the toys look ok, but I don't really feel I can go for any one in particular, BRAINSTORM.

Ok, you're gonna have to spell this out to me, guys. Again.
So, there was the Headmasters cartoon, which Pinwig sent me, with horrific fight between Soundwave and Blaster, and the aweful dubbing, which was Japanese only and was a continuation of the G1 cartoon. Right...?
Then... what, Masterforce? Which clearly has Headmasters, Pretenders, and Powermasters. But if it is Japanese they're not called that, are they? They're called... God Masters? And the Powermaster Optimus Prime is Ginrai?
Am I close? If I'm getting close, then... well that's gonna be a major breakthrough for me...
(I was the one who let you know, I was your sorry ever after, '84, '85...)

Yes, all right. You just have to remember that Ginrai isn't actually Optimus Prime. It's a bloke who pilots a body that looks suspiciously like Prime's for the purpose of selling a Prime-like toy.
Yes, you see, that's where it all felt apart for me too.
