Phil isn't, it's in Headmasters. I can't find a catalogue appearance for the Dinotapes, and my one for Stepper/Artfire is a bit dodgy too. I think there was something else....
I have asked repeatedly here and elsewhere with no joy

Here's the Headmasters Catalogue I have - I became aware of another one last night but that's earlier than this No Dino Tapes, no Combined Dino Tapes, no Japanese Heads, no Stepper & Artfire Now I have also got this If memory serves that was an extra insert into later Headmaster toys/early Masterforce as it has the Lander offer on. Stepper and Artfire are present. So if you know of another catalogue with any of the missing toys on it ....

No - they got Stepper & Artfire instead (speaking of which - cue theory's on swapped names...)
I'll check my catalogues to see if I can find these on them.

I have asked repeatedly here and elsewhere with no joy If it isn't in the catalogue it should go in the Extra poll thread or even a new 'Non-catalogue' thread.

Current poll finishes tomorrow: looks like Misfire is running away with it! Week 43: What is the best Targetmaster Decepticon on the 1987 UK catalogue?

I'm actually amazed that Slugslinger is losing this one - he is clearly the best toy here. I only voted Misfire because I like the character.

Wheelie sticks out as an anomaly. Apart from being by far the worst TF toy to date, he is the only one that is completely new. I think I've seen a Japanese catalogue where he wasn't even grouped with the other minis, but rather appeared in the same box as Hot Rod, Kup and Blurr, as if he originated from the department of Takara responsible for them rather than the department responsible for Hubcap, Outback, Pipes, Swerve and Tailgate. I knew it! Well done, Phil, you found it. Martin

With names like these, it's almost as if these Autobots, along with Mindwipe, Skullcruncher, Apeface and Hosehead knew they were going to become Headmasters. Hardhead is the strongest, with strength 10, Brainstorm the weakest, with strength 5. Chromedome has intelligence 9, Brainstorm 8, Highbrow 7, Hardhead 6. Brainstorm is the fastest, with speed 9, Hardhead the slowest, with speed 5. Hardhead has endurance 9, the others 6. bloody headmasters....
I must admit though, again a lot of thought has gone into these bios. An interesting mix of interesting characters.
The Specs are fairly unremarkable. Heardhead's stronger than I expected. Thought Brainstorm would be even smarter, a ten I'd have guessed.
But yes, impressed with those concise but interesting bios.
Not sure who the heck to vote for....

Hardhead get's my vote - again, he was the one that I wanted when I first see this lot. A shame he has the worst back of all Transformers. He doesn't actually have a back - it's all hallowed out! Why am I even voting for him!? Ah yes, he has a great tank mode and colours,
I do like Highbrow's helicopter mode too though.

Brainstorm is my favorite of both the toys and bios. I’d like to identify more with Chromedome the computer programmer, but if anything he’s my least favorite.

Tricky. I think Brainstorm is the best toy, but as a kid I really wanted Highbrow. Mostly because of the comic, mind. Thoughts need to be thunk.

Brainstorm, cool future jet mode, which I felt the Autobots badly needed at the time. Also, best colours.

I LOVE the Headmasters. The little robot pilots are a fab idea, filling a hole that had bugged me since the start of Transformers that there was nothing to go in the driver's seat - I know now that the Diaclone drivers were missing from the cars and jets! This makes them better for me than the other masters - The Targetmasters want to be guns in both mode, leaving no room for them to be robots and similar situation exists with the Powermasters. Here the Headmasters have a distinct role in each mode.
And I love the futuristic vehicle modes too, any desire for Cybertronian forms was satiated here.
Highbrow has been the winner for me since 1987. LOVE the dual rotor helictopter. After that probably Hardhead, Barinstorm and Chromedome, who's just a bit ordinary compared to the other three.

After spending yesterday hunting for Japanese catalogues I have this morning ended up scanning one of my own in in bits and assembling it - the released GodBomber version of the Masterforce catalogue!
I *think* it's the final Masterforce one

Chromedome was the hero in the Japanese cartoons, but Simon Furman favoured Highbrow in the UK comics, until he moved to the US comics where he killed three out of the original four off in the battle with Unicron.
