Scavenger also has a second, superior battle vehicle mode that I can't find a photo of, where you mount the drill cannon below his digger arm and it can swivel from side to side, making him an articulated drill tank. Well, technically this'd be a "no" from me since I never owned these as a child. But had I done, I would have used the battle modes, because at the very least they need somewhere for the weapons to go. So yes. On principle.

This was more a cartoon thing with scenes for the group. We didn't get it in the comics. (apart from a-z entries). Like when they attacked the Ark on the moon they didn't fly around having drills on them

I like how the instruction leaflets for Bonecrusher and Scavenger, describing how to transform them into "Attack Bulldozer" and "Attack Shovel" modes, tell you to insert the rotor blade _or fist_ into the target shooter, So the vehicles with missile launchers loaded with giant Devastator fists are also officially sanctioned battle modes!

In the mid 00s on a Transformers MUSH I played, the Scrapper player convinced admin to give his altmode the flight ability using the SUPER WING as justification.
I mean yes it was stupid but it was CANON DAMMIT
