IN CONCLUSION.
So, Prime is nice, but it's almost as though they set out to do a near perfect voyager sized G1y Optimus Prime, but then had a brain-spasm and messed it up. The over-roof element, the folding panels when you transform him, arm kibble, the battle damage. He's close, very close, to being excellent, but falls short.
Megagron is a very convincing Megatron. Really looks the part. This is how G1 Megatron would look if he had been a cybertroniany tank. One doesn't mind the shit-splashes as much on Megatron, but they really do not add anything to the figure. He's a powerful looking Megatron, who is sadly, and unbelievably, let down by his wobbly head plate. That is a real shocker. I keep thinking I'm missing something, but nope, don't think so. Megatron has a floaty head.
Prime's alt mode looks good, actually, but he's very small. Delux small.
Megatron's tank mode works much better, a very impressive looking tank Megatron.
Size-wise, I dunno... If all the 'main characters' who 'need' to be voyager are the same size, then it might be ok. But they look small next to existing voyagers. Roadbuster and Whirl (for example) are in the loft, but Lord knows how large they will be next to these two.
This happens every time, doesn't it? With Generations. We think we're going to get something close to the definitive version of a character, but there's always something wrong.
I do like them though. Very much. They are... of a style, and I like it. They should -especially Megatron- fit my small collection well. But I can see other collectors having big problems with them.

You done a decent job on those!
Apparently the blades on Meg's gun are on mushroom pegs and can be slid off sideways.

Hey Hey Hey! Tell ya sumat! without the blades, the gun makes for an outstanding alternate forearm cannon! Fit in with the Cybertrony look!

Just watched a couple of reviews on Youtube, gosh there's some absolute shit out there! Recognisable reviewers just talking shit, and missing some pretty obvious stuff!
Anyway. I now have just these two on the computer desk infront of me. In isolation, they look really great together. Megatron is sporting his modified new arm cannon (the tank barrel without the sword blades), looks very fitting. The battle/shit effects on them both are poor. You have it here, but you don't have it there, so it looks a bit naff. After a while though, it does kind of fade from your observations.
Together, they look very tidy. Megatron is my favorite of the two.
But... I had Optimus Prime facing off against the CW Stunticons earlier, and wow, does he look small....
I... I....
It's a different aesthetic almost...
I...

I expect after the butt wiping its too late to ask, but are the boxes multilingual?
I assume they are but if they weren't it would tempt me to get from Kapow or import instead of retail.

They were indeed multilingual.

They all are now, US or UK. But different. The easiest way to tell the origin is to look for the AGE rating and if t has the word AGE besides it in 3 languages or a blank space. Age in 3 languages, US, Blank Space, Europen

It was exciting. The end product however, while enjoyable, I'm thinking is marking a change for Generations. And I'm concerned the 'old' Generations and 'New' Generations are not going to be as harmonious as I'd like...

The size revelations are deeply worrying. This is going to worry me, worry, you hear.

The size revelations are deeply worrying. This is going to worry me, worry, you hear. Me too buddy. Siege Prime Vs The Stunticons unsettled me. Didn't look right. And it's not just the size shift. It's the aesthetic. It's fundamentally different. Maybe with more Siege toys about the difference won't be as jarring. They're good looking toys though. Especially Megatron. It's not all doom and gloom. And the plastic is a step up from PotP. Going to be interesting to measure up a Siege deluxe. And get a look at Omega Supreme.

These 2 were the only of the siege toys so far to not interest me. Well, until today when I seen Ultra Magnus alt-mode as a Plastic Beer Crate.
Primes cab mode looks comical and Megatrons bot mode looks like he's hunched down. Which is the complete opposite of the 'Ooh I must have those!' reaction I usually get for Prime and Megatron.
