New Milk & Cheese strip on myspace

I've long been a fan of Evan Dorkin's work (all the way back to his Bill and Ted days) and in particular Milk and Cheese.

Well they've got a new strip up over at the Dark Horse Presents myspace page here.

Um... wow. That's... that's a really horrible and mean-spirited strip, Andy. Er... it doesn't seem to be 'funny' so much as 'colourful overly-wordy revenge fantasy'. I find furries as creepy as the next non-furry but mass murder by dairy proxy seems, well, just sick.

But then, I don't like Viz for many of the same reasons. Maybe I'm not 100% British.

Humour is pretty subjective Nick and while it's not as funny as most of the previous M & C strips I found it enjoyable.

You'd best not tell the authorities you don't like Viz I'd hate to see you get exiled!

Despite dickhead spambot here posting ads, i had never read the strip in question before. As Karl would say, It didn't do anything for me.

My favourite comic of all time (and i mean in any medium) is the webcomic Achewood. For some reason the DHP Achewood strip was terrible. Even Mitch Clem's usual 'Nothing nice to say' joviality is missing from his DHP strip. It seems that those strips destined for the site are stripped of their character.

I suppose it's because they're trying to branch out to a new audience so took a safer route, at the cost of what made their strips funny in the first place.
