Do you reckon Cap returned Mjolnir to the past Thor who Thor nicked it from, when he returned the Aether to Jane Foster? Thor 2 would probably end quite differently with it remaining missing. Martin

Watched it again. Noticed a few things I missed the first time, including: What they did with the Marvel Studios logo at the start.
The line "Eat a salad."
And the line "Get that rabbit!"
Can't for the life of me work out how Evil Nebula managed to bring the big ship into the future.
Also unclear on where Rhodes got the Iron Patriot upgrade from, or why one of the wizards couldn't just wizard the stones to the van. But hey-ho, I'm sure someone out there can explain it.
Re: Thor, I suppose the end of his story arc is realising he's not cut out to be king after all. Martin

I made it to todays screening without a single spoiler. I don't think Ive ever been stressed in the build up to a film before. But actively avoiding anything about anything for the last 3 days paid off. {Spoiler}Of all the things that thinged, the thing that made me most happy was Jarvis making an appearance.
It made up for the lack of a Coulson/Agents of Shield cameo which is about as close to a critisism as I have.

It wasn't quite Iron Patriot - it looked like a mish-mash of spare material added to his downed suit and that would have been Rocket. He's got form for quick tech assembly.

Anyway, I enjoyed it, but I did think that the first third was a bit boring. It went on for a long time setting up the situation but at the same time assuming that everyone watching had seen every single marvel film. The bit with Thor and his mum was nice, but going back into Thor 2 was a bit odd, especially if they weren't going to get Natalie Portman to do anything. Why not something else? (Apparently she only did a bit of extra VA work for it). Upset that Loki is still dead Overall though, yeah I enjoyed it a lot. Could have been shorter though! Had an impossible task to do and it did it well!

Spoiler I was relieved that Stans cameo was one of the fun ones. I don't think I could have coped with one of the serious ones on top of everything else.

I don't know if it could have been shorter while doing everything it was trying to do but Im tempted to say it could have been longer. The three acts could easily have been three films, or at least two, though Im not sure theres a neat place to end a part 1 of 2. Probably best that they didn't, but some elements like Wakanda/Black Panther certainly could have been expanded.

Spoiler Grrr post got eaten.
Im sure Lokis escape post Avengers will see him return alive and now unreformed for his streaming show.
Surprised Natasha bought it, I guess that makes her solo film a prequel. Which is a shame I thought her leading the next Avengers line up would have been good.
Speaking of prequel/sequels. I liked how they returned Gamora. I'd assummed for some reason that GOTG vol.3 would be set before Infinity War. Endgame seems to have other plans, but Im not sure, would Gunn have known how Endgame would end early enough to have written Asgardians of the Galaxy when he did? I know he was supposed to be in charge of the Space MCU so maybe?
Also, bloody hell, Nebula has gone from a barely there GOTG vol.1 cast member to the biggest player outside the core avengers cast. And she works brilliantly with whoever shes paired with.

So... where does this leave the Sokovia Accords? Does the United Nations say to hell with it, let superheroes go about their business without any oversight? Or do Cap and co. give in and sign up for the greater good? Martin

Thats so much money.
Though Im strangely more impressed that Captain Marvel was still at number two in the US.
I wonder how many were doing them back to back?

The mad numbers would certainly seem to suggest a lot of folk wanted to see the film as quickly as possible! It will be interesting to see it drops off sharply from here or gets lots of repeat business.

Ive been surprised how many people havent seen it yet for one reason or another. Mostly home and or work life, but also a few that have found the screenings too full so are waiting till they can get decent seats.
And most people seem to be planning to see it again.

That's got to be a lot of Pym Particles. Though Im strangely more impressed that Captain Marvel was still at number two in the US. I wonder how many were doing them back to back? I imagine there are lots of people out there who skipped CM then saw Endgame and realised they needed to see it... or who wanted more Marvel and realised there was another film they hadn't seen still in the cinema. I'm surprised the time travel logic didn't generate more discussion in here. Clearly they were going for alternate timelines but did their best not to mention it.

Clearly they were going for alternate timelines but did their best not to mention it. Spoiler Time travel plotting is confusing enough, in spoiler mode it worse.
That diagram is pretty useful though.
Personally Id argue that only Timeline 1 and 3 are definite branches.
Timeline 2: Thors Mum probably still dies, though, yeah the option is there for them to go down that route in some form later if they wanted to.
Timeline 4: I doubt Howard changes much for the conversation (if it wasnt something that he always has experienced) While I suppose any change could/should create a branch timeline its hard ot imagine this one would be in anyway
Timeline 5: Blimey! Its still perfectly possible that all took place in the main timeline. Without researching it Im under the impression that all we know about Peggys husband is what she said in the museum video in Winter Soldier? So option 1, shes a skilled liar and her husband was always Steve.
Option 2 She did marry someone else and he died young. I don't think theres anything to date the scene with them dancing so it could easily be mid to late 50s. Theres no way in this senario Cap doesnt know exactly when she became a free agent again. Besides Preggy it would only require Howard and maybe the Howling Commandos to take a vow of secrecy.
Option 3, He goes for his dance then leaves her to her life and finds a new one of his own. The more unlikely option but perfectly possible.
The biggest hurdle for this theory is the idea of Steve sitting back for 70 years knowing what he knows about what will happen. Especially if we assume he fully understands that intefering wont change his future/past, it will just create a new timeline one that he could potentially make far better. And that the only downside to that is that he wont be able to see his friends in the future again.
