Any experience using a 4G Hub here?
I've had one suggested for solving my interweb problems here.
Not 100% sure how much data 5+ hours a day web browsing would eat - any guesses?

All depends on what you are doing with it - obviously any streaming content, especially video will eat away at your allowance.

I stick with my old BT broadband account as it came from the days of unlimited data. They keep asking me to move to a new faster one but with a data cap so I tell them to spin!

Andy As mentioned elsewhere, the brother has cancelled mum's Sky & Internet. The sky is get roundable - all the FTA channels will remain on her sky box or I could bring my freesat box up. Broadband is slightly harder. Phil needs email and internet - inc FB, Twitter & The Hub - while he is in London. I use little video. So I need to get an idea of how much data I consume daily on that to have a guess at how much I would need monthly for a contract. I also need to do it against the clock to have one ready for the end of next week. www.o2.co.uk/shop/pocket-hotspot/huawei-4g-2017#contractType=paymonthly looks a good bet but it's how much for how long.

However I need the interweb here in London after the internet here gets turned off. tmukhub.proboards.com/post/346810/thread

Bought. Maximum amount of data (36gb per month) over minimum amount of time (3 months). Had a conversation with Andu this morning where I put what I did against the next lower data usage (12gb per month) and neither of us was sure that was enough. £27 a month seems a lot but it's only 3 months hopefully by when Mum should be home and we get the box at the end of it which we can use on a PAYG basis going forward so I don't have to be parted from the interweb on holiday anymore.

you will probably use more data then you think, uploading/downloading pictures uses a bit

It won't be long before we can fit these things to ourselves physically so we'll permanently be online.

I would suggest looking at 3, they had some very good deals when I needed them last year.

Because Mum's internet lasted far longer than I expected to this is the first visit where the 4G Hub has been my main source of interweb and thus far it's doing a really good job. All depends on what you are doing with it - obviously any streaming content, especially video will eat away at your allowance. Andy Because I'm way way under my data for the month, and cos I was up the hospital while it was on, I decided to iPlayer tonight's DW. According to my usage stats the hour long DW cost me 565.06mb, which is useful to know.

iPlayer sizes depend on the quality you stream at. Top quality 1080p 50fps video is 2 gigs an hour.
