Nothing TFs bought for me but I did treat myself to the reissue of MP-9. Very expensive but Rodimus Prime has always been one of my favourite alt modes.
The missus did get me the Playmobil Slimer and hot dog cart which I didn't have yet. She got me Playmobil Stay Puft for my birthday a few months ago as well.

In many ways a difficult day, as you all know we'd intended to spend today in London with Mum but couldn't due to Liz's back. My bother and his family spent most of the day with her and for that I'm very grateful.
So instead it was back to plan A, albeit modified to take into account that neither of us wanted to go out for long. Jonathan and I did church this morning and as always it's a privilege to serve on days like today. I was in the projectionist's chair for most of the service as per usual but was asked if I had anything could I come and read ..... which I frequently do anyway earlier in the service to "break the ice" and make it easier for other people to bring stuff.
Family lunch then for six: three of us, Liz's Mum, Dad and Sister. Lots of lifting in and out the oven, mainly from sitting and kneeling positions and loading on and off my frame. Shattered me, slept all afternoon. Quiet evening with Apollo 13.

my missus wont buy me transformers as and I quote "I cant get in the back bedroom at the moment so where the bloody hell would you put more"
She then proceeded to buy me a massive stack of comic books which go in the back bedroom so im very confused now.
Parents gave me money and told me to buy the transformers I want so I bought Hound and some micromasters from kapow, when they arrive I will finally own some siege toys!!!!!!

Give the penguin a Pretender shell and a lisp and call it Skullguin.
Parents caved in and were in bed by 4pm. It did mean I got to see Muppets' Christmas Carol this year.

Nothing! The usual excuse is "but we don't know what you've already got" to which I gesture hopefully at my Amazon wish list. But never mind. Did end up with a remote control Falcon though, which I'll drive round later now there's less stuff on the floor. And a few DVDs and books - I tend not to pick any up in the year 'cos I know that, unlike Transformers, I'll never get around to sitting and watching/reading them. So this is better.
The conjunx, on the other hand, from some kind benefactor, received PottoP Outback and MMC's Nitro Convoy. So I'll have a fiddle with those later, also...

Shockprowl will be happy. Late on Christmas Day, I played a couple of games of Chess to round off the day.
I had two Christmas Meals - lunch with Gran and Dad then off to friends and had a meal there a few hours later.

The first game was even paced, but when I'd lost my Queen, I had an uphill battle but ultimately lost. The second game, doesn't really count, as I was playing against Brian and his wee boy Connor. Connor was being a bit enthusiastic, and we were teaching him as we went along, as he likes Chess but isn't 100% up on the basics yet. But I did win that game.

Outstanding!!!
Did you brush up with your Yasser before you played?

Post by Andy Turnbull on Dec 26, 2018 13:15:16 GMT
Sadly not.
First games I've played in a few years, think the rules of Chess are a wee bit too tricky for Connor at this stage. Suggested to Brian he gets him playing draughts first and gets used to a more simpler game and then works up.

Nope.
