It took ten years to get Wally West Flash, Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Sandsmark.
We still don't have the likes of Commissioner Gordon, Miss Martian, Speedy, Cassandra Cain, or any version of Batgirl who isn't Barbara Gordon.
As far as I know, Spinmasters doesn't do action figures. So even if they start a new adult collector's oriented line, it'll take another five to ten years for them to graduate out of various versions of the a-listers. And on top of that, companies that aren't familiar with making action figures often make questionable quality choices.

With regards to the quality - it's a bit early to call that into question.
As to the character choices - I doubt DC will care, it's about the bottom line for them. I'm resigned to never having a proper Firestorm (Fire elemental version) until I make one myself!

They've spent the last decade doing Bakugan and then Paw Patrol. Okay neither are quite action figures, but both have been decent quality in my experience with good sculpts.

What I mean by quality in this case, is it seems whevever a major company that's never made action figures before tries it for the first time, they usually end up making weird choices. Even companies that are know for AFs end up making weird choices when they try to start a different range. Even Mattel had their weird bumps. The initial DCUCs are quite different to the 6" Multiverse line. Not as well sculpted, some slightly weird articulation choices, some slightly weird body proportions.
Everyone will get better with practice. Unfortunately, if some of the early choices are weird or bad enough, it'll kill the line before they grow into it. (4" Multiverse was hands down better than the previous Infinite Heroes line, but their decision to only focus on Batman Arkham Asylum Game figures killed the line outright before they had the chance to adapt)
Anytime Bandai of America tries an actionfigure line that's not Power Rangers, is a good example (Teen Titans, Ben 10, Thundercats). The last few non TMNT lines Playmates have tried, too (and even in TMNT, those ML styled Classic Turtles)

To be fair I had most of the Thundercats figures - they were actually quite alright. Just nobody wanted them!

RE: Playmates. I recall being really excited when they got the Star Trek licence back (loved the 90's line) and was gutted when what came out was Poundland-esque crap! It was hard to believe it was the same company!

I remember a lot of Playmates non Trek stuff in the 90's. They had deals with Jim Lee and did some really awful Image toys and Turtles as I recall.

DCSH had a Cassandra Cain Batgirl. We got a Jim Gordon, of sorts in DC Multiverse- the Batman version.

Wow, I've never heard of her! And I've seen every episode of Smallville and Arrow.

I absolutely adore her. She hasn't quite gotten justice on television. She didn't exist when the DCAU did, Young Justice deciding giving her role to someone else completely was better (I like Artemis, but that shoulda been Mia. And now they're going with Arrowette), and Arrow changing her to Thea Queen was just kinda unnecessary.
Hell, I'm not even sure if she exists anymore since the start of the New 52.
