I am now off the car. There's a crew single-manned. So they've taken me off the car to crew up. Boo. The car goes very fast. It is very fun.

I am having similar complaints - due to a mixture of beer and sausage rolls.

Another incidence of a close call with bird shit this afternoon. I was walking under a bridge when suddenly I had a strong urge to jump back and thus I did so, just in time to avoid shit from a pigeon which landed where I had just been. As I did this, an old crone out pushing a buggy actually cackled at me.
This is getting out of control. Some cosmic force is trying to target me with bird shit. That's 3 times in 10 days now.

Have you pissed off any Bird-Gods recently, Doc'? I'd watch your back if I were you.
2nd night tonight, then four days off. Gods, last night was terrible. Solid for 4 hours, four crews, drunk after drunk after assult after drunk. Young, old. Nightmere. Occassionally funny, but generally frustrating.

So close and yet so far. I was hoping to be able to declare that Major Painting Operations were complete on my kitchen and hall this evening.
Sadly that would be jumping the gun a little. Got almost all of it done over the last two days, however one wall of the kitchen is going to need a second coat (painting white over aqua, not guaranteed to work out in one coat). Frustratingly I ran out of paint just before I could start the second coat. Went out to Homebase to pick up some more, and they had none. There was plenty there on Thursday when I picked up the previous tin, but it was all gone today. Looks like I am going to have to live with the job eighty percent complete until I can get some more paint. Annoying.
Other than that I have had quite a good couple of days. Plenty of work done, and still had time to do some reading and watch a couple of films. Not a bad way to end the week really.

Have you pissed off any Bird-Gods recently, Doc'? I spent yesterday worshipping the Bird-Gods. Three (3, count 'em) peregrine chicks on City Hall now, hurrah! The pigeons live in fear. Showed the nest (through a telescope) to 274 people during the course of the day. Children are funny - they always close the wrong eye. Got sunburnt. Martin

But Aqua? You're not a hippie are you, dude? *Looks in mirror at short-n-tight haircut.* No safe to say that I wouldn't qualify as a hippy. The aqua colour was one of those hazards of being colour-blind. Looked a different shade on the tub and when it went on the walls. Served its purpose for a few years in covering up the walls which had never been cleaned properly since the property was built in the 1980's (hadn't been painted since then either). I've just been working my way around to it as I've slowly been redecorating the house. Now the ground floor of the house is white all the way through from front to back door. Looking much better. I shall have to get some masonary paint and do the downstairs windowsills and what not next. Karl

One day I will own a house and I shall paint it in the style of the court room from THE TRIAL OF A TIMELORD.

I've just had a look at my kitchen and realised that with white ceiling, walls, cupboard doors and appliances it kind of looks like the White Room. If anyone else remembers the "La Femme Nikita" TV series they will know why that momentary flicker unnerved me..... It'll be better once the picture and the pin-board are back up on the walls. Karl
