I'm certainly available at the weekends, but we are thin on the ground during the week so my availability is limited. But I would certainly turn out, even if I was limited to "guest star" status. I've been doing some asking around at work, and it looks like there is no chance of me getting the 27th or 28th off, but it might be possible for me to try to wangle one of the other days if I knew which one we were planning for.

So what about the 29th (Thursday) or 30th (Friday) then? It would help me to know as I need to plan round the last and most deadlye ssay of doom of all.
I'm thinking maybe an afternoon showing of Indiana Jones and the Something of Something followed by drinkies and/or bowling or summat.

Right - just put in for Thursday 29th off - my colleagues are ok with it and it just awaits the final OK from my boss.

I'll likely be available for a few hours in the evening. Let me know where you'll all be after work hours.

<voiceover man> DOOM comes to GLAS-GOW -Ralph Doom? Fantastic, I must ask him what it is like to have the Power Cosmic. My boss has approved my leave, so I am duly off on the 29th. So I will be there to descend upon Glasgow like a horde of something or others. Karl

Wait....wait...
So is anything happening on the 30th?! Hub-wise i mean.
I understand that things will still occur on the 30th without the Hub's influence.

I shall have to pull out I'm afraid. My two weeks off have been pushed back to July now due to various things at work not being too co-operative. I am quite annoyed.

I've sent Beast-Man round to have a word with them. Due to unforseen events (see week 21 thread), I will be cocooned in the library most of Wednesday so very much looking forward to Thursday. Are folk still up for an afternoon showing of Indiana Jones and the Something of Something? It's on every half hour at that time of day. www.cineworld.co.uk/reservation/ChoixResa.jgi?CINEMA=83&FILM=20073&VERSION=I've also discovered a nice pub down a lane off the bottom of Buchanan St called Sloans. I've gone off Weatherspoon pubs as since they jacked up the food prices it's more expensive to eat there now than most other pubs! Or we could do an all-you-could-eat buffet or something. Make a day of it. -Ralph

Steaks on sizzling skillets and enormous portions of chocolate cake. Find your nearest one by means of this search engine (enter your city and select 'Sizzling Pub Co.' from the drop-down): www.mbplc.com/index.asp?pageid=479Martin

I was certainly intending to make a day of it - head for Glasgow at some point in the morning and improvise from there. Karl

Well how's this for an idea then:
-Mid-day showing of Indy -Pile into one of those Chinese all-you-can eat buffets (China Buffet King near the cinema isn't too bad and, er, has student discount) -Pub it, maybe find a beer garden if a nice day -Beam our location to Gav so he can find us after his work
Rounding off the night at Burns Towers with the inevitable TRIAL OF A TIMELORD marathon, or the like.

But the rest of that plan sounds great to me. Karl

Likewise, I'll be able to pop in for a few hours, depending on the whereabouts of the Hubbers.
