I've clearly stated I have non-refundable train tickets that day and I have an email trail to show I had stated a few weeks ago thay I was not available on the 7th so I'm not coming in to work.

Whats the schedule like for the weekend?
I was assuming a combination of cost and travel time would rule me out, but looking neither is a complete deal breaker.

Lego does nothing for me, but meeting chums does. As User 3 says, is there a rough plan for who will be where, when?

Friday
Ralph and Karl should arrive at Pig Hill within 5 mins of each other. This will be fun to watch. As a bonus joke they will hen need to make their own way back to the Death Fortress as Liz is unlikely to be back by then..... and if she is she will be cream crackered.
Sausages in cider and onion sauce for the tea, which has gone down well before.
Saturday
Martin, Karl, Ralph and Nick will be at the show, 10am, with Karl & Ralph starting out from mine c9:30.
They will return here at some point in the afternoon.
Chilli for tea, additional arrangements can be made for those of a non meat eating persuasion if they show given sufficient notice.
Sunday
I assume Karl & Ralph will be at the show, 10am. Kaptain is departing Sunday late afternoon.
I believe the plan for tea is to roast a chicken
I'm not up to doing the show either day, which is a ****. Maybe next year in the electric wheelchair.

PINWIG MUST COME.
I imagine we will 'BREAK OUT' of the show for lunch and then go back in. Or use THE BRICK CAFE inside.

Don't mind whether we go back in after lunch or head back to Phil's. A couple of hours in the show are usually plenty for me. At any rate I will be aiming to catch the 17:41 train back to Cardiff on the Saturday.

The Kaptain is due in Swindon today at 14:22 off the train from London Paddington.
Burns is due in Swindon today at 14:28 off the train from Swansea.
They have been instructed to rendezvous in the train station lobby and proceed to Fleming Way where they shall catch a number 5 bus to the Orbital Retail Park, get off at Bourne Road and walk to the Death Fortress.
What could possibly go wrong?

Knocked the rare drinks-after-work on the head and got a taxi home after three pints. Chicken tikka masala antidote now in microwave. Should hopefully be up and about in time for an 8.30 train from Cardiff Central. Look forward to getting a bacon roll and cup of Earl Grey at the station and NOT having to resort to the accursed Trolley.

Fab innit? We're trying to wake the delicate little flower on the sofa..... Sorry I didn't make it to yours today, Phil. It was 4pm by the time we left Steam and I thought a flying visit by me would just complicate things. I trust you got your TPBs back (thanks) and I'll be glad to come over for an Indian lunch on a Saturday that suits you. The highlights of the Brick Show were definitely the three Robot Wars Lego Robot Battles sessions. Great good-spirited entertainment. The iPad is a little one that my mum bought 3 years ago but hardly used. I've figured out my way around it now but find using Safari a pain. My fingers are too big to make it do what I want and stop it doing what I don't want. I think I'll probably use the iPad mostly for video calls to my sister's family, and maybe taking the odd photo - and go to go back to reading a book (or using my far more user-friendly ThinkPad work laptop) on the train.
