I mean, yeah, it certainly wouldn't be my first choice. But it does look interesting. Ranks for me as a "buy it when you see it in B&M" purchase. But then the fact he's a Galaxy Force homage means that it will be... requested... that we acquire it as soon as possible.

Instead of FunPub finding a vaguely appropriate UT mould and giving it a new head and deco to homage G1, we now have Hasbro producing additional heads for G1 character moulds and redecoing them to homage UT characters. What a time to be alive!

So here's Brunt in Tank form, who I got this week:  The bar under the front has a 5mm peg underneath that can fold up, you can see it better in robotmode:  I think it's needed for Zetar to attach the drill to the front of the vehicle mode, which in turn must unpeg from the head.... So the drill is a hat! |

My question is more what are Takara going to do with the Red Powerdasher? Do I really need to buy the bobbins Mirage/Impactor set just to get the Powerdasher?

Short Answer: Yes
Long Answer: We haven't seen any of this year's Siege exclusives in Japan yet.
Last year all the POTP exclusives were released released in Japan at the end of the line in the same packaging as they were released in the US.
So our expectation is the Siege line exclusives will show up in a similar manner.
