What we need now is a shattered glass 'con two pack to balance this one and forge the MINI DISPLAY.

Which is why it won't happen, or it will, but it'll be next year and Beast Wars toys, just because Hasbro never get it quite right.

Personally, I couldn't care less about diaclone homages. I just see these as what they are: new(er) characters. Additional transformers.
If they had decided him to be orange with black racing stripes, then it'd be no more or less inclined to get him.
I don't want a red mirage because it was a diaclone deco, I want it because it sounds neat.

I’m the same, Diaclone to me is a curiosity, what I liked about the ehobby releases at the time of the reissues was the new G1 character inserts. But also this is a good mould that looks especially striking in yellow, really thought it would be in higher demand. |

So I got my replacement Exhaust and Rotorstorm today
Boy gosh, Rotorstorm works way better than it has any right to, considering he transforms so differently from Spinister.
It's like getting an amazing Jazz repaint out of Tracks.

I mean the two characters transform so differently. Rotorstorm's transformation has the front end become his chest.
Spinister's has his front end become his legs.
The Botcon Spinister repaint from Tomahawk didn't really work at all for that reason.
In theory a rotorstorm repaint of Spinister really shouldn't work at all. Like my example, it's almost as surprising as getting an amazing Jazz repaint out of Tracks.

So, turns out my new Exhaust has a floppy right knee and a really bad left shoulder.
The mushroom peg connecting the arm to the shoulder doesn't work.
It prohibits a flush transformation to car, and pops out.
Fortunately BBTS didn't want my original copy back, and swapping out the original's arm with the new one fixed the problem (so good thing it seems to be the peg and not the slot).
Also swapping the the right legs via the mushroom peg fixed that slight floppy knee annoyance.
I have lousy luck with QC issues.

Anecdotally, Exhaust seems to have a higher than usual rate of QC problems

I'd offer the old one up for free to any customizers, but with shipping and all that, it'd be cheaper for y'all to buy a brand new wheeljack or maybe even an exhaust from local sources.
