This does follow the current trend of Hasbro putting 'contrived' above 'desirably obscure' in their Select releases. They need to talk to fans about this and get a handle on what presses buttons. If we'd had a Green Megatron and something like Sunstorm in this line, I'd have been whooping with joy. But no, we have to have the tiger stripe nonsense and a plane that has never properly existed. It's like they think they're outfunning FunPub and that we'll appreciate their amazing knowledge of obscure characters.

I like new characters. All long running things need them. I just prefer them to initially appear in TF lines for new media first before they turn up in the nostalgia lines.
