They are indeed, but they're also for mottos or comments that define the wearer or encapsulate relationships/personalities on here. One of my favourites is still Phil saying to Ralph:
"If I have mind control powers, how come you keep coming up with pish like this?"
and also Ralph's:
"I tend to think of washing machines before Tron."
