Well, potato is in the thread title.
I can't eat a potato scone tomorrow as I've never seen one in a shop. I'm pretty sure they're waffles down here.

I only encountered them when I moved to Scotland. They are not a thing down south.
Sadly the first place I tried them at did not do them well and it tasted like a thick piece of cardboard.
