So news today no Beast Wars live action film because it'll cost too much.
So we have never had any film so far with CGI characters on screen then? Beast Wars film would be empty background scenes with all CGI characters with it being sat pre human times?

That's not really news, and it would be as live action as Disney's new Lion King and Jungle Book films, which are chocablock with CG animated animals.

I don't get why they just don't go full on animated. I mean, it would already be 95% animated to start, assuming they follow the original plot.
Just go with Dreamworks.
(On that note, lets see some straight-to-video animated TF movies, ala DC)

Beast Wars is fine as it is - the TV series and characters should be left alone. Do a live action BotBots instead.

If they were doing a Beast Wars live action film, I'd go back to the original pre TV series idea. It's a direct evolution of Transformers and it's Optimus and Megatron and they interact with humans.
Damn - seriously thinking of doing something with this now...

Not with my one he wouldn't.
But I do like the idea, of taking most of the toys and recasting the characters - recoloured Waspinator for Bumblebee obviously.

Wasps are nothing like bees.
Remember the famous phrase, Andy?
Angry as a bee

I don't think we got a Yeti in Beast Wars.
Besides I do think Fun Pub got it bang on with Ultra Mammoth.

There's a logical in story extrapolation after G2 as well.
Jhiaxus' device that hit San Fran was the TF equivalent of a dirty bomb. There were scraplets or a derivation of contained within, making the planet toxic to Transformers. I imagine a device they would use to pacify any rebellious Imperial worlds. Clean up and then reseed. Couple that with humanity not trusting the Transformers after the San Fran incident, so how do they survive. They take Pretender technology and build it into their own bodies, couple that with either downsizing for energy conservation or mass shifting if you still want the big robot forms.
There you go.
