Nice issue for the end of the first year.
I can't wait for #13 - nice front cover & the issue being bumper sized - expect it to be over 60 pages. So 5 pages of Movie #4 BW #4. Hopefully we'll have a cartoon list or the extra pages featuring the toys.

Im hoping for the first pages of an Animated comic.

I was surpised to find copies of this in FPG today. Such a novelty for a comic to be early rather than late! Lead strip was ok, if marking time a bit. Wee bit irritated by the number of times the artist just drew speed lines rather than backgrounds. Not everyone can do a Kirby. Colouring is top notch and I did enjoy the high cheese of the obvious but fun cliffhanger.
I did think only 5 pages apiece for the other strips was taking the piss though. Am intrigued that next issue will be bumper sized with an Animated pull out section and an 'exclusive announcement'. Will that be for a new Animated comic or for a relaunch of the Movie one? Start your betting now.
Next issue's free tat excites me tremendously. I look forward to shooting people down in the street with my wrist mounted disc blaster!

We should form a special Hub squad, cleansing the streets of evil as we sweep them for criminal scum, cutting them down with our tat TF wrist-mounted disc blasters.
FTOOM! FTOOM! ARRRRRRRRRRGH! THUD! VICTORY!

I just picked up my copy. I've not yet read it, but a few things I noticed on a quick flick through: my name's in it, yippee! (competition winners - twice); it looks this month as if "our friends at Forbidden Planet have given" things that they can't shift; different paper.

Doesn't seem like Furman's using the AU mechanism to liberally kill characters, but it's still quite satisfying to see the Autobots (and Mikaela) starting to win. And who didn't cheer when Optimus turned up!
The double-page splash in Gathering is a lot more coherent and less muddled than I remember it being - guess the extra size helps.

Definitely got the feeling that the lead strip has lost a bit of momentum. This months installment was a bit of a holding pattern ready for the conclusion next month.
I do find myself wishing Titan would do a second TF mag and have it aimed squarely at an older audience. Hell, make it a quarterly if there are concerns about it's durability on the market.

They could do a IDW-G1 reprint title in the same format as their DC reprints and Panini's Marvels. Also continue this title. And do an Animated monthly. And Annuals. I just went to a happy place.

An Annual would be nice! A proper one, though.
I enjoyed the lead strip. Even quite witty in places.

Maybe the Annual could give us a story that follows the adventures of Vendor, X-Bot and Mutant Steering Wheel after the evens of the film?

I want it to be a CE format for the comic
same price but 22 extra pages.

Well, I've had a read of this now and I would agree that the lead strip is very much in treading water mode this issue. It was more a case of putting pieces in place for the last act than actually doing anything particularly much itself.
As to the reprint strip, I did actually read the movie prequel strip but I seem to have lost track of what has happened in previous issues and I'm not sufficiently motivated to go back and re-read the previous installments. The Beast Wars strip has lost me completely at this stage I'm afraid. It just feels like a bunch of random toys fighting, and the double page spread just puts the capstone on that feeling. It still resembles a particularly militant prepacked salad to me I'm afraid.
