A fine meal in the Biplob with Phil, Ralph, Karl, Nick and Matt M followed by some time spent pretending to help while colleagues put up shelves in what must now be referred to not as the Loft of Joy but as the Death Fortress's Boiler Room. Karl got so hot up there that he melted away into a puddle of gloop, but was duly reconstituted and was recovering nicely when I left. Thanks to Liz for cake and a lift back to the station.

Good to see everyone! Sorry you didn't make it Pinwig, you were missed.
All of the initial objectives have been achieved: a double set of Ivars has been erected in the middle rear of the loft and temp filled with stuff that was on the comic and mag boxes, allowing them to go under the shelves.
The gap the comic boxes etc created has been temporarily filled with the Christmas tree and cushions that were obstructing the front of the loft.
An narrow Ivar from my room has been dismantled and reassembled in the loft with wide shelves - despite putting up a fight when it came to attaching the crossbar. This will then have the Christmas Decorations put on it, in easy reach of the loft hatch, creating a space the cushions can go into.
Main shelves need a tidy, but that can wait till I'm fit enough to go back up there.
A tall Ivar, in the front room, is hopefully going to get dismantled tomorrow and put in my room with the narrow shelves on it.
