Half way through 'Little Victories' and enjoying it. Should be hating a TF novel where the TFs have gender and sweat and blush and vomit and are basically humans, but it's too intentionally silly, and witty, and funny, to nit-pick what is clearly intentional satire. ("Argh, my robot heart!" Hot House cried, clutching wildly at his chest as he fell over.) Favourite lines so far include "There were so many purple and black Decepticon jets that Hot House was having problems telling them apart, though he'd never admit that because it felt a bit racist."

True, you don't. And that line was the only thing worth reading it for. Oh, except for that one sentence on page... nah, I'm gonna keep the page number of the other good line to myself. So you have to read the whole book to find it.

The spelling/grammar/punctuation/formatting is immaculate. By this point in Eugenesis I had compiled a long list of niggling typos (which JR took on board and fixed in the PDF version). With your book... not a sausage.

"Strikedown stood outside Ultra Magnus' vast office, adjusting her tie nervously. She had spent the day smartening herself up and preparing for this important meeting. She had never worn a tie before, and it didn't seem to be particularly suited to being worn by a robot as it just draped awkwardly around her blocky metal shoulders and had to be threaded through the fan blade behind her head, but she felt it added a certain air of sophistication."

There are some cracking lines in this. The bit about scary stories of Optimus Prime breaking the legs off Micromasters to turn them into his engine is so funny.
