I'm wondering if this is it for WfC Micromasters now. I think Siege having a fifth wave stole two releases from Earthrise, which makes it more balanced than it looks (it would have been seven Siege releases to six Earthrise), but it seems a bit poor that there have only been two combiner squads and there are still three of the patrols that aren't represented. And for the cassettes a missing Buzzsaw.

Buzzsaw was in the Siege cartoon so hope remains he at least might appear somewhere.

He looks brilliant. Dare I say it, better than Prowl (not so much to annoy you know who, more as a surprise to myself because Prowl always comes top of those three in my books, down to having him very early on as a kid).
ID seem to think they can get him in too. Good news!

Kapow on their FB have said they're hoping Bluestreak is a 'standard' release. I don't think that implies it's a retail wave figure, I think that means it's an exclusive that fell through. It's E number is in the Amazon block, but at the end and it isn't in an Amazon exclusive style enclosed box (I think their's have no windows because they sell online and not from a shop, so there's no need to see the contents), so I reckon this was a Walgreens that fell through. If Walgreens were doing one this year I think we'd have seen it in their computers by now because we usually get a Walgreens leak many months before the toy comes out in the autumn.

Because today I got up and told myself it’s way past time I got back on with regular school prep, I have of course been pissing about with random Transformer suppositions instead. NB – what follows is all based on guesses, but I’ll have a shot at a couple of predictions. When I was looking at Bluestreak and working out where he comes in the E number list, I did something Phil did once before – put all the E numbers for the current range in numerical rather than release order to see if it revealed any trends (also added a few Selects where they fit patterns): There's no significance in the missing grid lines, I seem to have upset Phil's table maker. WFC No | Code | Wave | Name | Channel | | E7141 | S5 | Ratbat & Rumble | |

From that I reckon – There isn’t a missing exclusive and that E28 is actually Alternate Universe Prime, but because the packaging for that one is Selects style but has no label, the number got missed off. Obviously it should be on the instructions, no idea if it is or isn’t. Siege Wave 5 was definitely pulled out of Earthrise and it might be that there were some holdups with some of the intended Earthrise W1 figures that meant they stalled the launch to start with its correct line up instead of less impactful toys. The numbers suggest (again, I’m just guessing here, I know the numbers can run in odd orders anyway) that Apeface was originally Wave 1 with Starscream, and that Grapple was Wave 2 with the Judge because Apeface’s E7163 code fills a single gap in a long run of the first two Earthrise waves. You could argue that makes no sense as Hasbro wouldn’t put two Decepticon Voyagers in the same wave – but look at the line as a whole, there is only one Autobot in all six retail Voyagers. Astrotrain is interesting. His Siege E8210 code puts him in the Earthrise Wave 3 block, which suggests he was given his product code for Siege at the time Wave 3 of Earthrise was also being done. However he also has his earlier E7167 code for Earthrise, which puts him with Prime in Wave 1. Why did he get a separate Siege code and Apeface didn’t? Probably because Apeface was pulled out and Hasbro decided not to keep him in Earthrise too (maybe knowing he’s a relatively weak toy and not a big name seller anyway), whereas Hasbro decided that Astrotrain would just go in twice in different packaging, therefore needed different numbers to keep the products separate. Spinister and Crosshairs are different – they have E numbers roughly in the same place as Astrotrain, suggesting they were given new ones at the point Siege 5 was being put together, but don’t have a logical original place in the other runs of deluxes. Spinister was in the 2018 fan vote with Wheeljack, who subsequently went into Earthrise Wave 1, so it seems fair to assume Spinister was done at the same time as Wheeljack but hadn’t been coded or assigned to anything as no decision had been made about when or how he’d be released. Siege having a fifth wave gave him a place. The codes suggest no Deluxes were brought forward to Siege wave 5, so Crosshairs is definitely an odd one. Especially as there’s been no indication that Pointblank or Sureshot are in the wings. If I was taking a wild guess there, I'd say Centurion's placement suggests he was definitely a Selects release but whoever was originally E33 became unavailable and Centurion was given E33 to fill the hole, so that could have been Crosshairs based on the fact he is the only other figure we know of without an original home. That then leaves a hole in Selects, but Tigertrack looks like a really easy last minute repaint addition because his product code is much much newer than the others. It looks like Direct-Hit and Powerpunch were originally E7151, which would make the first Earthrise wave three sets of pairs like Siege Wave 1 was. The fact they were given a new number suggests the decision was made at that point that they’d be reissued in Earthrise, it’s just annoying that turned out to be E9838 and not the neat E7151 that would slot them back in nicely. Soundbarrier and Slitherfang look like there’s another rampmaster missing between them, which could have been Doublecrosser as there are no other options, his E7247 puts him in the middle of nowhere which might suggest he was late to the party. Smashdown and Rung’s Earthrise numbers are roughly in line with the other ones given to patch in Siege’s fifth wave, so it may be they were originally not intended to be reused but were just hole fillers.

ID have updated their post about Bluestreak to say he is an exclusive due end of sept. The fact they and Kapow can show this before it's been announced anywhere makes me think it'll be one of those 'fan channel anyone who wants it exclusive' jobs. So no issue preordering.

Can you handle that much excitement?
Selects Tigertrack is F0857. He's the first we've seen with an F. The closest behind that is the reissue Battle Squad, E9838. It does suggest Tigertrack was a very last minute addition.
