I've edited the post to show what is sourced where. Well over 50 % of the items on it have been found at general retail. Cool. I see now. I would add the caveat that with a pandemic on, many folk are avoiding retail and the US Postal Service has had problems this year. Indeed. Plus the normal distribution woes of "I haven't seen that in my area" I agree there has been a lot of product released this year. I just think the availability of it to fans may be quite variable for lots of reasons. -Ralph Indeed. I've had a lot of luck being online at the right time.

I think we're talking at cross-purposes here. A lot of Transformers have indeed been released in the US this year, but depending on where someone lives will have affected whether they can actually find them to buy. Also: pandemic. It's disrupted everything. It's been a crazy year for fans in general for the First World Problem that is buying toys! -Ralph

Now they've started appearing and selling out overnight. Hasbro can't even stick to their 'one a week' Transformers Tuesday thing. It's stopped being fun and I am rapidly losing interest. Can't be arsed with this shit. I think what's really winded me about this specifically is that we couldn't actually order the Ratchet set anyway. It is region locked by Amazon so you can only buy it within the US - not stopping you with the 'we don't deliver to your region' thing, actually coming up as unavailable so you can't even buy it from here and ship it to a US address, when inside the US the listing is live and orderable. I didn't even know until last night that that was a thing. If Amazon are playing that game then they should bloody well make sure Amazon UK has the damn toys and region lock those ones to the UK. I'm really trying hard not to sound entitled here, I just think if this is a worldwide toy brand with toys sold through a worldwide seller that they should make the bloody toys available worldwide. Yes, that's what's really got to me today. Hasbro getting excited about a new Transformers release that they're effectively saying, "Oh but not for you. You don't count if you're outside America. You can just buy the toys we might send you if we feel like it. You did get a Bluestreak right? We did let you have that one. What do you mean you weren't quick enough? You had your chance. Bye now."

Last year's exclusive apocalypse was really bad in that they dropped like...$2k worth of stuff within a few days. This year,s steady stream has been much better in that regard, but damn. At least last year they made sure everyone knew exactly where to go for what.

At least last year they made sure everyone knew exactly where to go for what. They were doing really well with the Fan Fridy and TF Tuesday announcements, we knew where they were. Now two left field announcements in a week and a third toy gets released via UK online stores before being officially announced by Hasbro and with no US availability which may well have boosted the orders (and bots?) going into UK sites.

The other thing that is hacking me off now is the secrecy around even planned announcements. Sure, we know something gets announced on Tuesdays but it feels like you only get a few minutes to consider whether you want it or miss out forever.
But then, Bluestreak was announced ahead of time of when it would go on sale and we know what happened there.
Mad times for TF collectors.

Anybody else just had an email from Amazon UK canceling their preorder of the Prowl / Ironhide pack?
I had one in with Amazon DE as well just in case, so far no news on that one.
Collecting this line is suddenly looking like a fool's game...

I was just thinking: If Earthrise or Kingdom gives us Jazz we can recreate the exciting motorway chase from Man Of Iron!

Anybody else just had an email from Amazon UK canceling their preorder of the Prowl / Ironhide pack? Almost had a heart attack there before it clicked you were saying UK! It would not surprise me if the .com ones get cancelled for overseas orders after today's nonsense. I didn't even realise that set had appeared on the UK site.

Hasn't been announced by Hasbro
The U.K. Stores let us know it was going up in advance and it sold out in less than 30 mins yesterday.
Still no idea of his US home!

A chunk of those are Target and Amazon exclusives. We know from US chums that the former can be very difficult to get. I don't know about the availability of the latter. -Ralph Odds are at some point they will be shelf warming. the problem is distribution means some stores will be flooded with them while others never get any. Last year I caught the start of the shelf warming phase in New York for the tetrajet 3 pack and micromasters. At the start of the holiday there were only about packs within 200 miles. 2 weeks later I saw that number in multiple stores. And thats in years without a pandemic to deal with.

Im trying not to get too stressed just yet. Odds are more Bluestreaks turn up and Amazon either unlocks Ratchet or other suppliers get it. Or they don't. Will it be Siege G2 Sideswipe or Skywarp?
