Those Far Out 60's oversized animals are back FNAF style.

I was quite appalled that they have done this - and it shook me up as it wasn't what I was expecting! Of course (like when my daughters showed me the 'Dont Hug Me I'm Scared' series which also freaked me out), it now has me curious.
The Animal kwackers were scarier though.

Sorry dude. I thought the SYFY logo on the preview would have been indication that this wasn't The Banana Splits were familiar with.
I'll watch this out of curiosity. Something is being done with the brand even if not my first choice. I quite proudly own the original Season 1 boxset, and hope one day Season 2 will get a release despite the complications.

How many parents will not look at this properly and stick it on for their kiddies to watch? This is just mad. If someone did that here to something like Rainbow there would be national outrage.

That was my concern too - the same with Dont Hug me.. As for Rainbow let's not forget this episode: www.dailymotion.com/video/x1atuz

SYFY seem to be doing quite a few DTV releases. I still want that new Tremors movie they foolishly scrapped. Actually, I'm surprised SYFY even have rights for the Banana Splits since Warner Bros have dibs on all Hanna Barbera properties. Someone must have made a deal somewhere. Speaking of Banana Splits, my old homebrew project of re-editing the Danger Island segments into a 6-part mini series is almost complete. I may share a free copy or two on DVD, but not online... I got into a bit of trouble back in December 2017 for showing a preview or two on Youtube

Well, I watched this with my daughters last night (set up the wonderful projector I got for a bargain £5 and it was like having a cinema in my front room that we could pause when we wanted the loo or more snacks!) As many have said, it worked so much better than it should. I don't watch horror films so can't compare it to anything in that genre but it was all very graphic and gruesome. Lots of nods to the old show (many in a nightmarish way) and we enjoyed it. Reminded me of the only other horror movie I own (and love) Killer Klowns from Outer Space just with much more blood and violence.

Aside from watching Walking Dead, I don't do horror much either. This Banana Splits movie turned out better than I expected.
