UNICRON DOES AS HE WISHES!!! SPIN. NOT SPIN. SPIN SLIGHTLY ONE WAY, THEN SPIN BACK AGAIN.
HE IS UNICRON!!!!

That is acceptable reasoning.

Everything in space spins. I cannot recall a single celestial object that does not. Therefore, it very much is the natural state of physics as we understand it. Not really. Things in space (and on Earth) spin to conserve angular momentum which has to be imparted on an object first.

Well I like this idea, I think we should definitely crowd-fund Hasbro to... *reads thread* ...create a physically acceptable model of Unicron's behaviour. Um.
I love you guys.
On the toy front, I'm of mixed opinions. Yes, a giant Unicron, I'd be all for that. And given I dropped £350 on a Maketoys Pandinus I think it's fair to say I'd feel morally obliged to do the same for an official product. Especially if it was bigger and cooler than any of the existing Titans. Which it would have to be.
But yes, I'd want it to come with loads of special features, too, to justify it being not just an over-sized knock-off of Armada Unicron. And it would also start to become a little unwieldy, and would definitely need to be packaged with a display stand for planet mode.
The biggest problem would be that it would start to price these characters outside of normal fans' budgets. Yes, 3P stuff at the moment is super expensive, but that's 3P - that's a separate thing all together. And I guess there's also the danger that if the demand's there, that Hasbro would start to use it for loads of the popular characters and/or sets, putting them outside of the reach of most.
And to consider my above 3P example, Pandinus was indeed £350. And he's about Titan-class sized. Not as tall, no, but in terms of the amount of plastic used and the engineering. And that's basically the cost for a limited run toy. Which is what Unicron would be. To be bigger and/or have additional features... yeah, we're probably looking at the five-hundred quid price mark.
So whilst Unicron would still be cool... I think it may not be the best idea. I'll start saving anyway...
And surely most objects start off with angular momentum due to how and where they're created? Spaceships launched from the Earth share the angular momentum of the planet they've been launched from. Dead asteroids in space still have the momentum from whatever event produced them. And if Unicron eats planets, he'd pick up angular momentum from at least interacting with them. So yeah, he'd be spinning. But on the other hand, he is a god, so I guess he can indeed do whatever.

Right, that's all the Unicron posts in the same thread with the correct links and pictures added to what became the first post.
Looks rather nice

So £460 either through whatever route Hasbro make it available or North American based helpers. International shipping will be at least £100? Cuta will add another £120+.
So £680.............. yeah .............

The one thing that helps with the idea of buying this is that I have never bought a repaint of Armada Unicron.

Feb 18, 2018: I'm not buying no bloody $500 Unicron, I tell you what. Armada Unicron is nearly too big to fiddle with. Titan Class toys pretty much are past my upper size limit. Plus... 19lbs?!? Are you bloody kidding me?!?

You know, he doesn't even transform. He curls up while almost his entire alt mode folds up and stows behind his legs.

Armada Unicron has action features, electronics, a mini-con and has interactivity with other toys ie mini-con ports.
This new one looks nice but does less things. For it being the most expensive Transformers toy ever I would expect it to be packed with play features.
The lack of a payment plan will lose sales from US fans who want it and could afford it over a period time but can't drop that amount of cash in one go. A shame.

Sail Barge announcement: tmukhub.proboards.com/post/309920/threadThat was $500, this is $75 more expensive. There's some more comparisons to the Sail Barge I want to make, but Real Life calls. Back in a bit!

A shame. -Ralph Even those who can afford it may struggle justifying that much in one chunk on one toy. One complete botcon set wasn't much less than this, but you were getting like... 12 toys in one go.

Friends have pointed out the payment date is the same day as people will be getting charged for the new MP Prime.
Well played Hasbro. Well played.
Im sure this will magically reach the 8000, Hasbro have clearly already invested a lot in Unicron. All thats left are the steel moulds, which are expensive, but the developement so far cant have been cheap.
