The year on year increase in exclusives suggests a certain confidence in Generations by US retailers which we don't see here. I imagine part of the lack of confidence in the UK from retailers has been Hasbro UK's inability to supply product. Missed this at the time. I'm laying the blame firmly at Hasbro UK's feet. I'm seeing a lack of new Hasbro product, not just TFs, across the board. There's a quantity of new to us SW in The Entertainer, but that's older stock and I suspect Grey Imported (will check) That's about it. What has been into the country appears to be in low numbers: Micromasters w2 came into the country, went to the online retailers and sold but has not been seen at retail beyond the sci fi specialists. Deluxe w2 only came in as solid cases, and the one of the characters was missing. Again, not seen at retail beyond specialists. We know the Euro w2 case exists because it's been seen in Germany. Lots of factors at work here which might be influencing WHY Hasbro UK is making a pigs of it, some of which may be beyond their control. |

As posted elsewhere (I have no idea where the thread is now) it seems that it is Hasbro worldwide that is to blame. At the moment. Although given Hasbro UK's track record to date I won't completely absolve them.

Well, either hasbro hasn't put Ghostbuster Prime up yet, or they're little bitches and sold out before hand, and decided to let us think there were some to sell.
Because it got marked "sold out" before today's set went live, and hasn't changed nearly a half hour in.

RFC are saying Hasbro Pulse have said to Premium members that they should be on hand Saturday 1.30-4.00pm Eastern logged in with card details to hand for early access to pre-ordering exclusives that will be announced at Toy Fair.

Might not be as extreme. If it's Pulse it'll be a bunch of Select releases and we know ID/Kapow will have those through Hasbro UK.

I hope so. Last year's EA annoyed me. It was like Matty Collector days. Exclusives that are unavailable after a few minutes are rather divisive. I'm still annoyed at not being able to get the Skywarp set.

The only ones that sold out in literal seconds were the SDCC exclusives like Ghostbuster Optimus.
The stuff like Galactic Man Shockwave and Reflector lasted a fairly long time, and were eventually made available through multiple sources (rather than those sources buying and reselling)

Yeah, the brown box Select stuff wasn't a problem because our import shops got them through Hasbro UK. Of all of those exclusives, the only one that were a real problem were the Target sets. Everything else was available to buy through various routes. Skywarp was on amazon.com for ages. Even Ratchet was around enough to be able to get one eventually, if at inflated prices. But the MM set and the Rainmakers were nowhere.
That Ghostbuster MP10 is still on Kapow here.

Even Skywarp was buyable if you had the cash when Amazon.com had it, the problem was amazon.co.uk not filling their orders. This year's Wal*Mart ones, leaked this am, worry me.... Last year they went to particular UK dealers here and were not well managed. |

These are definitely not exclusives. It was a poorly worded thing on Hasbro's part, combined with them pressuring us to "log in early and have your card info ready to get them before they sell out!"

Another Exclusives Apocalypse tomorrow. From Star Action Figures FB:
'Just a heads up, there will some pre-orders going live tomorrow from 3pm. Star Wars and Marvel at 3pm, followed by GI Joe and Transformers at 4pm. There only a few figures from each line, and nothing that is part of regular waves, all US Stores exclusives.
As things are at the moment, the Star Wars line is limited, and we will limit them to one per person. **We do not expect them to sell out tomorrow, but to try and limit traffic, we will be adding half our allocation at 3pm, and the rest during the evening between 7-8pm, although we do not expect them to sell out at any point, so don't panic if you cannot get on the site straight away. They should be available throughout the evening.'
