I'm relatively new to the series, I was just wondering how Megatron becomes Galvatron from DoTM to AoE.

Long story short, Optimus ripped Megatron's head off ala Mortal Kombat style in DofM, because apparently that's suddenly fatal to transformers now, or something?

And a human company called KSI wanted to market their own Optimus Prime, so they built an Optimus Body, hooked it up to Megatron's head because that's a smart thing to do, and were suddenly shocked and appalled that Megatron took over because as anyone who's been into TFs for five minutes could tell you, decapitating them doesn't actually kill them.

And that's how Megatron became Galvatron.

Now don't ask why they didn't make Stinger, the Bumblebee duplicate, green and call him Wasp, because how they effed THAT up is beyond my comprehension.
