Soundblaster and Soundwave are, as always, virtually identical. As such there's not really a lot that can be said to review such a toy apart from to concentrate on the changes. Colour swaps: blue becomes black and a the lightpipe yellow becomes a lovely orangey red that catches the light even better than Soundwave's already suoerb lightpipe did. Functionally the only change here is the tape drawer, which now protrudes out from the chest: One tape fits into the cavity in the enlarged tape drawer and a second slots in behind it. It's been a while since I owned an original Soundblaster, but IIRC he stores his tapes in a similar manner. The only problem is there's just two tapes out at the moment and I now have chest space for THREE! I forgot to take pictures of the space brick mode but, let's face it, he's going to be in robot mode for most of us.The Spaceship mode kind of reminds me of a blocky version of Titans Return Alpha Trion, who I liked, But I just can't get enthusiastic about this.

I'll grant it this: As silly as the protruding tape door looks in robot mode, it looks better in spaceship mode than the original.

It somehow does in pictures. Is Soundblaster part of the Exclusives Apocalypse or will it be generally available?

Exclusive Apocalypse, WalMart.
We *think* In Demand *might* have had it on exclusive here. It's on their site, marked assold out but they never had any stock.

I can snag a few of these if I see them in the wild. With seven walmarts in range, I'm far more confident in my ability to find them, than Target exclusives.
