Was G1 Optimus Prime's trailer a Micromaster base?

The missing trailer is because it no longer exists and Hasbro didn't want to foot the bill for a new one.
Warden gave some BS about that it would have made the cost of the reissue prohibitively expensive. (At least this is what i was told)
As if it won't get used a billion times.

Takara will be along shortly with a new one though. It won't be long before they get the bug up their butt for another reissue.

Yes I had heard that. But one does wonder if the whole reason given for "missing trailer" is rubbish though.....
