Woah. That robot mode is taller than I was expecting. That'll work fine with Fort Max. I really thought the density of this one would mean he'd be a few inches shorter than that.
Seeing that I actually feel a bit better about owning Fort Max now. I think he was my biggest disappointment in the Prime Wars line, but he's kind of got a purpose now. The '87 Generations display is not the strongest for variety, but this will balance it quite well. It's a very Deluxe heavy lineup. Apeface, Snapdragon, Scattershot and Hun-Grrr are the only other figures bigger than Deluxe unless you put the combiners together.

Putting off decision on ordering Scorponok until employment issues become clearer but it is a must-have after experiencing the glory of Omega, who is much better than the Titan Fort Max.

Am I allowed to say I'm actually a little disappointed? Well I'll say it anyway: I'm a little disappointed.
My first issue is just how simple and basic the "base" mode really does look in that video. Sure, with (for me) the exception of Trypticon base modes have been fairly weak amongst the Titans, and this is no worse than Fort Max - it's just a shame they didn't learn.
My main issue really is the colours - they're just too vibrant. Sure, this probably seems like a silly issue, and yeah, they're Sunbow accurate, so that's a very important box ticked for a lot of people. But to me the paint job just doesn't give an impression that this is actually a massive robot - a titan, if you will. Omega works I think because his paint scheme coupled with the detailing on his body do work together to give the impression that he's huge. But here, it just doesn't work for me for some reason.
Not that this'll stop me from buying him anyway, of course. I can't not. But still, this seems like it's going to land more in the Predaking satisfaction zone than the Trypticon zone.
