Did Scorponok/Mega Zarak ever actually have a spear in Headmasters? I can't remember (and can't handle watching it again just to find out) but it doesn't look right to me.
I will use Fasttrack as guns I think. I'd prefer it if he turned into a big gun for Scorpy instead actually.

The spear is exclusive to the original Black Zarak, Japanese Scorponok was identical to western Scorponok and he didn't use on in the cartoon. Fasttrack becoming the spear and a Roritchi repaint appearing on the selects listings is seen as proof by some that a Black Zarak repaint is coming. It would be money left in our wallets if it wasn't. |

I remember Black Zarak having a spear, but glad to hear Scorponok/Mega Zarak never did, so my dislike for him having one is justified.
It's like giving Grapple a hosepipe.

I am perfectly safe from buying a Titan Black Zarak when it happens.
A Titan Double Punch on the other hand...

Earthrise Megatron's sword looks like it connects to the end of Fasttrack's spear mode, to make the prong at the bottom end of the original weapon. Phil needs to buy an additional ER Megatron.

The orange bit on the end of Fasttrack looks like it plugs into the hole at the end of Megatrons tank barrel sword thingie.

I'm inclined to agree that any similarity is accidental. Megatron's tank turret doesn't really look like the bum end of the stick, to me.

I couldn't say either way, but the difference in the greys is probably down to the fact that Takara's promo pics for this line are all really dark compared to the actual toys.

Why go to all this trouble to give a character a weapon he never had (or needs)? It doesn't even look like a spear to me.
