I hope Hasbro notices the sudden spikes in each Weaponiser's sales figures in SW England. -Ralph Unlikely as Swindon is not in the SW of England.

It's not? But you go down to London and turn left on the train and when you are in Swindon and go to Cardiff you go more left.

Surely if you're going 'down' to London and turn left you end up in Kent.

If it's east of Bristol it isn't in the south west.

If it's east of Bristol it isn't in the south west. That's a bit extreme! Bristol is as far west as you can go (at that latitude) before you're in Wales. Swindon is about 25% of the way from coast to coast, along the line from Bristol through Reading (roughly in the middle) to Southend-on-Sea at the far east. Just 'cos England is sticking one leg out to the side (Cornwall) doesn't change the fact that Swindon is well west of its Reading belt buckle. Martin

I know the Hub likes a definition, so according to the way the country is divided for administrative and local government purposes, Swindon is officially in the south west. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_West_EnglandI suppose it depends if that's how you're defining 'south west'. Other terms, such as 'the west country' might be more accepted as meaning 'the bit down the end'. In reality, Devon and Cornwall locals are always going to eye anything east of them with suspicion.

It's because there's no central south region. You're either east or west. See also Southampton, regarded as being in the South East.
