Hi all
Splitting this off into it's own thread.
I've been working on a collection of upscaled coloured art and comics from all the previous Toy Fu zines. There's a lot. And then I thought about all the other fanzine stuff we've done around that time. Mission creep sets in!
I'm definitely (depending on employment!) working on a Toy Fu collection at least, but there's the opportunity for more. SO, vote in the poll, though at the end of the day I'll go with what my gut thinks!)
Two polls in one, so you have two votes, use one for the size and the other for the type!
Size options would be
A - Smaller 30 page collections
Smaller collections would be more manageable and might get more casual interest, but would overall actually work out more expensive. We'd probably be able to get more out quicker.
B - Bumper 60+ page collections
A bigger collection could be perfect-bound, and I really want to do something like that! Also might be nice to have everything in one collection, and I'm confident it can be done nicely and cheaply.
Having tracked stuff closely in terms of orders, I honestly don't think doing lots of little ones or a big one would make much of a difference to sales numbers, as people will either want them or not, as long as the price is reasonable.
Type options would be:
i - Volumes for Toy Fu, Other TMUK, other convention comics
Mostly because I've got most of the Toy Fu stuff done already and I sort of want to tell a chronological story.
ii - Volume by year
So separate volumes for say, 2010-2012, 2013-15 etc
I also sort of like this idea, but it means getting *everything* from that period print-ready, as there wouldn't really be anywhere to put it if we forgot it. Also some of the earlier volumes would be a bit weaker as we all get better with age don't we??
