What is it about bad guys and snakes? We've got Cobra Commander, Serpentor and their legions of Wipers, sorry, I mean Vipers, with HISS Tanks and Rattler planes and henchmen such as Big Boa and the Python Patrol. (Though Snake-Eyes is a good guy...) Then we've got King Hiss and his Snake Men from Masters of the Universe - Kobra Khan, Rattlor, Snake Face and Tung Lashor, while Skeletor resides at Snake Mountain. We've got Miles Mayhem of VENOM, who wears masks called Viper and Python. We've got the Battle Beasts, Triple Threat Snake / Snakebomb and King Cobra / Cobrander. We've got 'The A-Team Bad Guys', Cobra, Viper, Python and Rattler: What other snake villains are out there? Martin

Wasn't there a snake in Beast Wars?

Snakes are a predator of Man. A primordial fear.
Oh and I had that A-Team baddie set!
AND I STILL HAVE ONE OF THE THE FIGURES!!!
The bald one with the eye-patch (edit: Python).
He's a pirate in with the bath toys. He serves under an old Black Major figure and is frequently thwarted by SAS Frogman, Deepsix v2 (Diverman), and a T.A.R.G.A.R.T. (who's the goodie Deepdiverman).

I seem to remember slightly more articulated A-Team figures when I was a lad, did the license change from galoob to someone else, or were the bad guys just done cheaply?

I had a set of better articulated A-Team members, in coloured combat suits. Not Action Force level articulation though, they didn't have Swivel Arm Battle Grip. The baddies were Star Wars articulationed. I don't know if there were other sets. I felt it was odd to have such different designs at the time.
I also had a the A-Team van and Face's sports car.

My A-team were better articulated as well, but had the same accessories as the baddies pack, so I assume for some baffling reason that the baddies were a different design. Maybe that's why they were so evil?

Co-opted in from another toyline to pad numbers?

I also had both the A-Team and A-Team bad guys and remember the heroes having more articulation. I think the baddies' weapons were made out of softer plastic. I could always tell the heroes' rifles from the baddies' by whether they resisted bending.
Were the van and sports car for these size figures or were they for the larger figures? I can't remember.

These size figures. Fairly basic in design, only the front doors of the van opened, for example, but the van had a removable roof which was nice.
Edit: infact, no, the front doors didn't open either! My memories return to me through the murky mists of time!

Not only did I have the A-Team van but I also had...THE A-TEAM TANK!!! No doubt less conspicuous than a distinctive black tank with red stripe when trying to blend into the Los Angeles underground. Martin
