I know it's a few weeks off for you guys but first part (Supergirl) aired tonight, and oh man it's great. Not really a spoiler, nothing to do with actual plot, but hidden just in case anyone wants to keep even the slightest detail a surprise. Again, nothing at all plot related: It seems every live action DC movie and tv series is a canon part of the Arrowverse Multiverse.
And that's just awesome.

This is a mess over here. Sky don't have the rights to Batwoman - no one has picked it up at all, so currently the schedule is that Supergirl, Flash and Arrow will finish next week on their 8th, 8th and 7th episodes, ie the ones up to Crisis but not into it. We get a longer mid-season break here so that when the shows come back they can run an episode a week without breaks until they finish, and as Flash isn't back on in the US until Feb it'll probably be March before we see these shows again, when Legends will start up too. Sky have said they're going to air the four Crisis episodes they have without the Batwoman one. So for this massive five episode event, when it's shown here sometime in the spring, episode 2 will be missing.
Which quite frankly is ridiculous.

You know, if Adam West were still with us, I fully believe that his Bruce Wayne would be one of the central characters in this event.
And that got me thinking... I would kill do see a DC Universe streaming series that had him as Bruce again, adapting Batman Beyond to his universe. An old Bruce Wayne training Terry McGuinnis "because the world needs Batman once again, by gum!"
And don't make the humor edgy and adult. Just keep with the same goofy iconic camp. Maybe in a way that works for modern times, but still at home in this universe.

Finally decided to stop waiting for Sky to sort their shit out and watched Crisis by other means. Very glad I did. But it is an odd one. Almost nothing happens for most of the story. Which should be bad, but the large multi group fights have tended to be the least interesting parts of the previous crossovers so Crisis kind of benefits from the change of pace. Also does a great job of wrapping up Arrow. SpoilerTom Wellings appearance is hilarious. No suit for him.
And so many other cameos whether new or clips were lovely. I admit to not getting a lot of them, but it was still lovely to see. Was there a Gotham one in there?
{Spoiler}The DCEU Flash one was especially unexpected.
Finding it out it came from the DCEU side rather than the CW side is baffling, but a nice touch for whatever reason it happened.
{Spoiler}Though. No Felicity. Bit weird that. Also I absolutely love the Legends hostility to crossovers. {Superman Spoiler}2 sons? That one threw me. At first I thought Rouths Supermans world had been merged in to Prime meaning a second son, but hes shown on his own Earth at the end.
So where the extra kid come from? Was it just him getting his previously mentioned dream of 2 kids?
Ditto Diggs 2 kids was that him getting back the one from Barrys time travel shenanigans? Or did he have two at this point, his family life is one of those parts of the how that holds zero interest to me so I could easily have missed something there.

I haven't seen it yet. I see here that Batwoman has been picked up by E4 but there's no date for broadcast yet, so it definitely isn't on Sky. I can't see Channel 4 and Sky working together, so I guess the Crisis mini series may not even be shown here, unless Sky are able to buy that alone as a complete package. When Flash/Supergirl comes back on Sky I can see them just restarting with the regular episodes.
Thinking we weren't going to get it here at all, I've watched Batwoman up to the Crisis episode just to keep myself in the loop. Haven't gone past that yet because I'm waiting for Sky to get going again. It's not bad. Not essential, but okay.

Ditto Diggs 2 kids was that him getting back the one from Barrys time travel shenanigans? Or did he have two at this point, his family life is one of those parts of the how that holds zero interest to me so I could easily have missed something there. Regarding Diggle- There's some time travel shenanigans. He and Lilah had a daughter they named Sara, after Sara Lance. She got changed to a boy named JJ after Flashpoint. Diggle eventually adopts Conner, who is Bronze Tiger's(?) son. But it seems that one of Oliver's post crisis gifts is to bring Sara back, so he has both Sara and JJ. And I think Conner? Or maybe he brought Bronze Tiger back, too? A little unsure on that part. Cameos- this is not all of them. Just what I can remember. · Batman (1966. Burt Ward's Dick Grayson) · Batman (1989. Pat Hingle's Commissioner Gordon) · Birds of Prey (2002. Ashley Scott's Huntress) · Superman (Richard Donner's version, picking up with Brandon Routh with added Kingdom Come undertones) · The Flash (1990) · Smallville · Lucifer · Titans · Swamp Thing · Doom Patrol (setting it apart from Titans, which surprised me) · DCEU (Through the cameo of Ezra Miller's Flash) · Bruce Wayne (Original, a blending of Kingdom Come and Batman Beyond · Green Lantern (2011, film clip)
I know there are a few more, but I can't remember them. If there was a Gotham or Preacher cameo, I missed them.
Absent are- · Joker (2019) · The Dark Knight trilogy (i think? May be one of the cameos I forgot) · Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman · Jonah Hex · Constantine (2005) · Swamp Thing (1982) · Wonder Woman (1975) · Adventures of Superman (1952) · The Captain Marvel and Batman serials of the 40s
Two amazing takeaways. Arrowverse canonized everything. This is the polar opposite to MCU's approach. Every live action DC property happened, and is part of the Arrowverse. And "arrowverse" establishes itself as the center of the reborn multiverse. Not DCEU (presuming that's the new Earth 1). Talk about balls.
Apparently they tried to get Keanu Reeves to cameo as Constantine, but he was beyond their budget.

Crisis is the first crossover that truly does change everything. People who can't watch it will be lost. Spoilers, just for how severely the shows are impacted. I'm not giving away story details, so you're safe on that if you want to look- · Black Lightning so far is relatively unaffected. It's plot hasn't changed at all · Legends are more effected by their shenanigans from last season. · Batwoman is closer to "ground zero." Kate is more effected than the plot, though there's a big change a bit later. · Flash and Supergirl were completely upended.

I can't see Channel 4 and Sky working together, so I guess the Crisis mini series may not even be shown here, unless Sky are able to buy that alone as a complete package. They’ve managed to work together on the F1 though, possibly because Sky are the bigger fish there. So I wouldn’t discount something being arranged.

Im pretty sure Sky and 5 managed to share the relevant episodes for a NCIS or Chicago series crossover.
But thats the only time I can think of.
Channel 4 seem to have a terrible habit of sitting on shows they pick up forever. So it could be long wait.
It is possible Sky got the rights for the Batwoman episode I suppose, but frankly Im confused as to why they didn't get Batwoman at all. The Arrowverse has been a big part of their line up for most of the last decade, unless viewing figues havent been good or they dont have much expectation for Batwoman.

Also forgot- · Supergirl (movie) · Superboy · Powerless · The Watchmen (both movie and tv series. Not used to thinking of this as part of the DCU) · iZombie (they included Lucifer, so I think this counts.)
You know one of the funniest things is that since they introduced the concept of your doppelganger not necessarily being a parallel version of you, that means that there is now a Superman (smallville, tom welling) who's doppleganger is the biblical Cain.

Well it would appear Sky and E4 are going to solve this problem by... ignoring it. The Arrowverse shows all restart next week, Sky are showing Crisis episodes 1, 3, 4 and 5 over Mon-Thur and E4 are starting Batwoman from the pilot episode on Sunday. So to watch Crisis legally here you'd have to record four parts then wait nine weeks to get part 2.

And Black Lightning is pretty much the only one you can keep watching without Crisis.

Did 1 and 2 last night, doing 3 and 4 now, 5 is on tomorrow.
This is fabulous stuff. Not a minute of padding, breakneck pace and a proper crossover story. Really enjoying it. Worth the wait!

And they just flat out leave out the characters they don't have time for. Sad as it is to not have Alex, Dreamer, Lightning, or Thunder be part of it, the crossover is stronger without having to force them in.

Re. cameos... · Batman (1989. Pat Hingle's Commissioner Gordon)
This is not right. It was the reporter, Knox. It was great to see... Routh channel Reeves' Clark again. I always thought he did a great job of this in Superman Returns.

Just got the DVD and watched the 5 episodes straight through in a single afternoon. Although I never get the full benefit from the DC crossovers as I only follow a couple of the ongoing series, I really enjoyed it! Especially the Justice League (i.e. Avengers) vibe at the end, with the movie universe never got close to generating.
It was silly, but fun.

E4 have been showing Batwoman season 1 on Sunday nights.
They showed episodes 1-8, skipped episode 9 ('Crisis on Infinite Earths' Part 2), then showed episodes 10-20. Episode 10 onwards were no doubt a bit puzzling for anyone who hadn't watched 'Crisis' elsewhere (e.g. by buying the DVD), as doppelganger characters appeared from nowhere with vague unexplained references to a newly discovered multiverse.
And _now_, having finished the season, they are going back and showing the missing episode. Out of sequence with the rest of the season, and without the rest of 'Crisis'. Just Part 2.
Which makes... no kind of sense.

The whole crisis event was just a mess over here, which is a shame because it was really good.
Not sure how Batwoman is going to cope without Ruby Rose though. I enjoyed the series but to go forward without the lead character and not recast her seems odd. That said, there are enough potential replacements in the series ready to take her place.
