Bits are reused, yes, but it transforms totally differently and is missing a load of the rubbish Siege had hanging off limbs. Much better

Try opening the chest to remove the Matrix on the Siege version.
Earthrise doesn't have the blocky lights on the vehicle roof or the vehicle's side lights hanging down from the arms

But the robot is the same size as the Voyager. It's essentially double the price for adding the trailer. The box feels empty and is light. It does not look like a £50 toy in package, alas. The packaging does it no favours whatsover. Should have been in vehicle mode.

The new toy is also a size class up with a trailer in the package I disagree with the 'size class up' nonesense, however, at least this figure has had something cool, or at the least not absute shit, done with his 'Leader sized' extra bits. I love Siege Shockwave, and will love Siege Astrotrain, but the extra bits they have to warrant the price-hike is NOTHING. Utter piddle! At least here Prime gets a Trailer, albeit a stumpy one. Still not worth 50 quid, like. Does it have a Roller...? |

Earthrise Prime is the right one, Siege Prime is the one we should be getting angry about because it's redundant. Cybertron mode Transformers are fine, but the only figures who actually had that were the jets. With hindsight we can see that Siege was a con job all round.
The leader class problem has only come about because Hasbro have applied the Studio Series idea of keeping everything in scale. So we don't really have any need for figures like TR sized Soundwave. Instead they're giving us the right size figure, but using the extra plastic for accessories. Just not very successfully. Sometimes it works - like Prime now has a trailer, sometimes you get Shockwave. Which was a shambles.
