The real question is, does he look out of place in a normal collection? He makes the original look extremely cheap. But a whole bunch of toys like the original might make him stand out, and not in a good way.

Head's not good though. Ew. Still, that said, I don't have a WFC Megatron yet, so it'll be fine. Once reduced. And as for that W*NC spoiler box... Half-arsed? That's not even quarter-arsed. Such a massive disappointment. If it's meant to indicate that he's dead it's not even doing a good job of that. Just... bah.

The colours on that are great. I might have to have this to replace the original Siege one. I'm still set on the Classics mould being my default CHUG Mirage. I sold the transparent one out of the fan pack and the Siege one is back in its box, but this chap is definitely worth putting with one of those Nemesis Primes that has the duck egg blue trim.

Just... bah. Magnus is massively disppointing but as soon as the said it was the version from the cartoon it was never likely to be that diferent from Seige. And honestly most of the Autobots are pretty disappointing. Mirage is the only one that really stands out and hes a Decepticon. Well Rung is pretty good in a weird pointless way. But I kind of like Magnus. The half dead look is better than the terrible wear and tear look on the seige version. And I still dont have Magnus or Rung soooo.......

BUT I MUST DECLARE WAR ON PINWIG FOR SELLING INVISIBLE MIRAGE!!! -Ralph I sold the Impactor too. It meant I could get Aragon for a sensible price - came to £18 in the end. Happy with that. I don't think the Mirage mould is that good, and the clear version did nothing for me. I just like the colours on the Walmart one because I think he'll go really well with Tokyo Toyshow 2017 Black Convoy. I think that's the one I'm thinking of. Nemesis Pottop would be too big. Obviously he'd look good with the Siege Nemesis too, but I ain't buyin' that mould again.

Ok. It isn't bad, I just don't like it as much as the old one. The legs are really gappy and the general shape doesn't say Mirage to me. Classics is more interesting. I haven't got rid of the Siege one, I just didn't need two and I will buy the Walmart one. I call on Hub Mirage Expert Urzu for an opinion.

My opinion of it will change if it's retooled into Slapdash. That will get rid of my major issue. It will rise if it gets a good repaint, like MW Prowl or RiD Mirage or Skid-Z But as G1 Mirage, the only thing it really has going for it over classics is the shoulder cannon.

Err... That wasn't what I was expecting. Umm, in which case, let us refer back to Urzu's review of Siege Mirage for his opinion: Overall though... Is he the definitive G1 update? That depends on what you're after. If the cartoon/comic look is what you're after then yes. In robot mode, he's a better Sunbow Mirage than Classics or CW. But Classics is the better toy. It looks better in both modes, with no glaring compromises or the lazy design choices that hurt this Mirage. I'm still unsure how much I like him, and he's not the worst toy to carry the Mirage name. But I don't think he'll be transformed again anytime soon. Three Electro-Disruptors out of five. 3/5 Classics is the better toy. I rest my case!

Yeah, Seige Mirage is a bit of a let down. I want to like it more than I do. Remould him as Slapdash with an engine block for a chest and he’s spot on. As Mirage, no. If anything, my opinion has dipped since then.

I am afraid you are in the wrong dear Doctor.
If we discount the original due to his waist swivel, then the best Mirage as an all over package is Classics. Fun design, posable, decent modern update that somehow looks more Cybertronian than Seige. Doesn't have a redundant fake nosecone jutting out the back covered by a ridiculously un-aerodynamic rear wing and engine cover. Classic Mirage, everything works. I just wish he had a better gun.
Spychangers and Robot Masters both suffer from not knowing quite what to do with the front wheels and overly long nose cone that modern single seaters have and so just leave them hanging there, CW ignores the problem and drops it off his back, so now he loses the iconic chest design completely. And as good as I think the Alternators one is, it looks nothing like Mirage, so it kinda doesn't count.
If only there had been an Action Master!
