I'd never heard the big floaty head called that before but it does appear to be an official name

I admit a titan class grand mal still incredibly unlikely, but it's the only thing from the Beast Era that fits that class, and it no longer seems as far fetched as it once did.
(i still want a titan TM2 humpback that's an homage to the klud)

I think that would be a push. I want playsets (I assume if that transformed as a Titan toy it would become a base) but I doubt I'd buy that. I can imagine a few beast wars toys mixed in to other G1 remakes would be Hasbro testing the water just to be sure they sell. It sounds like the positive reaction to the few BW figures they have done in recent years has got them interested.
Hasbro seem to jump through ideas though. We get about 2/3rds through the execution of a concept then the next one gets started. I'd rather see WFC3 finish what they started with Earthrise properly and then dedicate the whole next trilogy to doing BW properly.

I'd rather see WFC3 finish what they started with Earthrise properly and then dedicate the whole next trilogy to doing BW properly. The micromasters are the best example. They did just half of nearly every patrol (ignoring two sets completely), then moved onto the squads, where they're doing one third of a squad, now dropping micros altogether.

I'd be happy to see a pair from each team as a minimum because I don't think the market is there for the whole lot, but it would have been nice to see some of the teams up to the full four through other means, like a Selects four pack. If Target could do ten figures for $40, Hasbro could have given us a few more even if they were repaints with new faces.

I dare say Micromaster sets are a dead cert for exclusives/Selects for a while even if just repaints. Leaving money on the table otherwise. I should have bought that 10-pack at TFNation. If only I had known it was going to be my only chance! Ah, hindsight. Hasbro UK doesn't seem to see much of a market for MM's. -Ralph

It would just follow the existing pattern: Giant Head, Base/playset, robot.

Would that be because none of the bigger retailers like supermarkets have shown interest in them? It's a shame. The idea never had a chance to get going here, however I do think it's one line that would have stood more chance if the toys had been packaged in car mode.

If only I had known it was going to be my only chance! Ah, hindsight. Yeah, but at that point it wasn't obvious it was going to be hard to get because it was in stock cheaper at Robot Kingdom. It just dried up very quickly after that. I was fortunate in that Toph swooped for me when I realised a problem looked likely.

Spoilers for the recent WfC3 rumors [ Spoiler]If they are working in allusions to the G1vBW scale difference, then I wonder if the next titan class will be G1 Optimus? If you look at the pics of ER Scorponok holding ER Optimus, that's a pretty good representation of the size difference between Prime and Primal. And if you scale him back so you can fit his trailer in, that works really well with most original BW toys.[/spoiler]

A very interesting idea. Although I'm still predicting Autobot City.
If I had to go left-field though, I'd choose Titan Class Tidal Wave, that turns into a whale (and maybe a boat, too) - keeps the Armada and IDW fans happy. Don't let me have bought Stakeout for naught, Hasbro!

If Megatron is a Leader then hopefully a scaled down MP Megatron is feasible. After finally seeing what they managed to do with ER Prime Im raising my expectations. Hoping the rumour of Titan Ark or Metroplex is true. Especially the companion figure being an Action Master (now with exciting transforming feature) which Im hoping will be Mainframe. What rumour is this?

The Metroplex rumour has been on the go for a while. The T30 one was several years ago now and we've pretty much run out of big bots that could be sold for $100+. Next year being the 35th anniversary of TF:TM it could be marketed as Autobot City.
Just fan conjecture though as far as I know.
I am not aware of the Ark rumour.

I heard Titan class (Ark or v2 Metroplex) withe companion in form of an Action Masters character, but now transforming.

For Sunbow cartoon fans, that's the Ark. For Marvel comic fans... that's just Wheelie's shuttlecraft in 'Space Pirates'. Woo, TFUK #184 increases in value! Oh, and Optimus Prime's shuttlecraft in 'Time Wars'. Martin

For story purposes, it's either got to accommodate the three Triggerbots, or Wheelie + Wreck-Gar.

FUCKING MARKER PENS!
But yes, that is not the Ark - the Ark is massive and grey and as aerodynamic as a breeze block, and should come with an Auntie accessory!
But this’ll do for now. Intrigued to find out what the inside will look like, considering that for the majority of the show the ship was embedded in the volcano. I wonder if for cartoon accuracy they’ll have rocks piercing the walls on the inside to recreate that look? Or will that be an SDCC/Selects exclusive variant?
Either way, this is actually exciting. If this is actually a thing.

Well, this makes some sense out of the “core” size class at least. Got to have classic characters in a scale that can interact with it!
